  1. Man for man they are as good as any team out there with several all region players on the squad. The problem is there is not enough of them. They gave Mo West all they wanted in the first half till they got tired in the second.
  2. Easier said than done but, we have to take it to'em in the first half and try to win it there. Substitute like crazy in the third and clean up in the 4th. How many are on the Campbell County team?
  3. Jefferson County did not get out played and MO West doesn't have better players. Jeff Co got out substituted. Plain and simple. 99 to 40 are hard odds to beat. If Jeff co can figure out away to play strong in the 3rd and 4th qtrs they'll be hard to beat. I did have some issues on some of the plays called. 4th and inches and we call a quarter back sneak. No one saw that one coming.LOL. Why not give it to the full back that averaged almost 5yds a carry? And he only carried the ball 3 or 4 times. Next. We have a WR thats almost 6'4'' and he doesn't get thrown to but once. And all those options at the end were really painful to watch. Defense- I know alot are playing on both sides of the ball but they have got to work on tackling. Several broken tackles. Speaking on playing both sides of the ball. Maybe its time to throw some of these dedicated players who show up everyday to practice only to ride the bench on game night into the mix a lot more. Probably wouldn't hurt for recruiting purposes for next year. The kicker was great as usual. And as for the furry fellow rabbit. Looked like an average player who got his clock cleaned more than once. At least he wants to play ball no matter where it is and I give him credit for that.
  4. How did it go against the Admirals???
  5. How did it go against Carter yesterday? I heard it got cut short due to lighting. How did the passing look? How did the run game look? I also heard there was a lot of pushing and shoving after the plays were over.
  6. Jeff County looked pretty good last night against Central. Any body else in the Big East scrimage? If so how did they look?
  7. Jeff County looked a lot better this time than they did against Knox West. FB Brooks and TB McFall both had several solid runs. O Line did their jobs on the blocks for the ground game but need to get it together for the pass plays. I'm sure the coaches will work on that today. Defense looked pretty good overall. However Central did make some nice pass plays. The team looks like it is coming together pretty good and should be in good shape for the start of the season. Next is Carter, at Carter on Wednesday. Keep up the good work guys. And remember, you play like you practice. Gotta give it 110% every time you step on the field.
  8. So how did camp go???? Any standouts?
  9. jchspats07!!!! The above post is exactly what you guys don't need to listen too. Check out my post on "Will Jefferson County fair any better this year" before it got ugly and shut down. What are your comments on that? You need to take this guy's comments and use it as fuel to fire your team up. Never let anybody tell you you can't do something! Faith is good but confidence is better. I watched every game last year. You could have won them all but it seemed you guys lost the fight once your opponent got a lead on you. The only exception was Morristown East. You never gave up and you came out with a win. You've got to play with that intensity every time you step on the field! And that includes practice. If someone is slacking off or has a negative attitutde let'em know thats not gonna be tolerated this year. Fans are a nice thing to have. And its safe to say the ones that were there last season are the true supporters of the team. You've got to play 110% for them, the coaches, but most of all for yourselves as a team! I have no doubt you can do it. The question is how bad do you want it?
  10. ConCpatfan, Sounds like your a little jealous about something. Maybe you should focus on your own short comings, no pun intended, and not on your team mates relationships with the coaches. Attitudes like yours are exactly what this team, or any team for that matter, don't need. Either you're a team player or your not. I wouldn't want to be you when your "buddies" read your post and figure out who you are. Camp is right around the corner. Pratice what you preach Mr its 11 not 1. And by the way, leave Manis alone. He's already graduated.
  11. You are exactly right DZ! However, this team (everyone of them) needs to forget the past seasons and approach every practice, scrimmage and game with a positive attitude. A winning attitude. If you think like a loser then you will lose. A defeatist attitude never won anything. They seem to focus on the other teams record, size, etc... These guys have got to remember it aint over until the largely obese (OK FAT) lady sings. Any given Friday night its their night to win. It was stated that they haven't beaten Dobbins Bennit in 14 or 15yrs. Who gives a crap. That is over and done with! This is a new season and a new team. If the PATS haven't beaten a team in a while so what. Let the other team think they are a push over. But prove'm wrong on the field and the scoreboard where it counts. How bout it Patriot Players. Are you getting the message or am I wasting my breath here?
  12. Come on. What happened last year is over and done with. Give the boy a chance. It will be interesting though to see if he starts the first came of the season against his old team.
  13. Being a Patriot fan and reading the post on here for a few months, I thought I would go ahead, register and join in. Coach U is not going anywhere. Even if the "powers that be" wanted him to, they can't do anything becasue of the pending law suit. If they terminated his contract now every time a player or parent did not like a coach there would be a freviless law suit. Coach U is there to stay 2 more years at least. Maybe longer if he lives up to his reputation and puts the team back to its winning ways. The suit does not go to court until around October. I hope the team is on the right track by then. It will be hard enough for U as it is without this hanging over his head. I hope it all plays out in his favor. The team has a problem with giving up once they fall behind. The only time they really dug down deep and over came was in the Morristown East game which went into several OTs and the Pats won. Trey Reliford was a big time player the for Pats on both sides of the ball. His successor will probably be a Sophomore this coming year by the name of Will Brooks, 5'10 220lbs. Pretty strong kid in the weight room from what I hear. MVP on the Offense for the freshman team. He may play LB as well if needed. Brooks has an opportunity to help lead this team if tries hard enough. The Pats will go to the play offs this year no doubt. Maybe into the second round. GO PATRIOTS!!!
