It was without a doubt the worst 3 officials ever. 5 players from cannon fouled out and 2 from coffee. They couldnt get anything right. Somtimes the whistle was blown before there was any contact. they shouldn't be allowed to do any more high school games, unless they do a lot better than they did last nite.

Very true. Back to the Cannon-Dekalb game. Dekalb has made big strides with the women's program, but Cannon has also played very well in some games. When there 3 pointers are falling they are tough to beat. Should be a good game but I think Cannon will win

First district game of season. Cannon is young,but talented and they have looked good at times and bad at times and that is to expected when freshman start. I know very little about York. I would expect it to be a competitive game to the end. Help me out with thoughts and predictions

Coach Dodgen does do a great job especially with such a young team.

Cannons girls are off to a 5-0 start despite starting 2 freshmen. Most of there wins have been over AAA schools as well. Very young season and I believe they have a district game against York Nov. 30 and that should give an idea if they can compete in the toughest AA district in the state in my opinion. but very immpresive start

They are very young, but talented. i think in two seasons thay will contend for the district title.

Looking forward to this game. Cannon has made tremendous strides since coach Barger has been here and they are still improving. Smith County is an outstanding program and a like always will be well prepared. The lions run game is effective. In my opinion the two best RB'S in the region will be on the field in Smith's Cody Rich and Cannon's Melvin Young should be a great battle. Maybe kind of a measuring stick game to see how far Cannon's program has came. Hope Cannon wins, but i think Smith takes it by 10. Looking forward to seeing a lot of the good people from Smith County Friday!

Upperman's offense is pretty awesome. I love their passing game and there ability to spread a defense out. This was a bad loss for CC considering Dekalb beat Upperman 31-0 and CC beat Dekalb. They couldnt stop the pass at the end. I dont know why Cannon went for 2 leading 27-20 in the 3rd quarter, that ended up hurting them in the end. They lost a game to Westmoreland earlier this season by doing the same thing. On a positive note the offense looked good, but the defense has to get better against the pass. Overall though very dissapointing. congarts to Upperman on a very entertaing and crazy game.

Thats incorrect. CC passed for 97 in there last game against Marion, but running is there strength.

I agree the best 11 should play. Perhaps Marion was just a better team. Cannon had chances, but Marion was not a push-over the teams they have lost to are very good. The point is its not time to hit the panic button. Cannon has played well and the games they have lost they have had very good chances in. If the pass defensive backs play well and dont give up the big play Cannon County will win, because there run game will eat up clock and keep Upperman's offense off the field.

I agree I believe the paper said he now has 701 yards and 15 TD's. Those are very impressive numbers. He makes people miss. He is a Reggie Bush style back. Once he makes the first man miss he is gone. Cody Rich is also a very talented back as well,and York has several that are pretty well even.

Actually Dekalb passed the ball with sucess against Cannon. Cannon made plays when they counted though. Upperman will struggle if they cant stop the run because Cannon has several RB'S who run the ball well. The past few weeks they have passed the ball reasonably well to. That balance will make there offense even better. If Cannon can defend the pass and keep everything ten yards and under they should win this game I think fairly easy.

Cannon has also lost to two very good teams. By one to westmoreland and they played York close. Cannon has an excellent run game, aand even showed the ability to pass in there last game, if they become consistently balanced like that, they will be hard to beat. That being said Marion is by no means a push-over. This has the makings to be an excellent game. Cannon 27-22

First of all if Cannon had really wanted to run up the score they would have. If you noticed there starters didn't play another series after that score. That score made they clock run continually thanks to the new "mercy rule", so it could have been worse. As far as the game Cannon dominated on both sides of the ball. I was very happy to see them passing it a little more. There defense played the best i've seen all year, and they should be a tough team to beat the rest of the season. Thats a credit to the coaching staff and the players for all the work the past few seasons.

I agree very much, but at least this year Cannon doesn't have all the injuries like last season. Has Jackson improved this year?

Big game for both teams as far as the playoffs go. Cannon is coming off a big win and I think that will carry over to this game and they win 35-14. They are good team and the rest of their schedule is winable. How does everyone else think this one will go?

A win is a win, but Cannon has got to shape up there defense. The newspaper said they gave up 523 yards.

As far as the skill postions go I don't think Dekalb can match Cannon. and physically its pretty even. This game will come down to if Cannon is still down from that one-point loss to westmoreland, or if they decied to take out their flustration on Dekalb and ruin their homecoming. I think Cannon County wins by 14. they have played well this year and could easily be 3-1 or arguably 4-0.

Cannon had every chance in the world to win this game, but they just didn't make smart decisions at the end. However that was a big statement that they are no longer just a push-over team in this region

I agree 100% everyone is talking like Cannon is going to win the region. They can't just talk the talk they have to walk the walk...

Thats a real possibility. Both teams better show up to play. If Cannon really wants to make a statement this is the chance. Then they will be considered playoff contenders.

I wouldn't get to hasty let's remember westmorland has a lot of tradition and even though they mite be down, they haven't forgotton how to play or coach. That being said Cannon has looked very good, even people from York said Cannon should have won. Should be an excellent game,but as bad as I hate to im going with westmorland by 7

I agree totally with that. Even if Cannon does lose this is kinda of a measuring-stick game to see how far their program has came over the last few seasons. But they could epull off the upset who knows
