Is Coach Herrell gonna coach at the high school?

I think that all of the sophomores will come back, and it looks like there are another GOOD group of freshmen coming in!

I understand, that might help a little, as long as they use the passing attack a little, and let Weston run the ball, it should work out pretty well!

I just thought I would see what any body thought about clinton football next year, it seems like every time people create a Clinton post, the same STUPID people get on and talk about players leaving, and bad coaches. Well I got news for you people, Mr. Hazlehurst, and Stone are going NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! And the coaches, well, GET IT IN YOUR HEAD, were not getting new ones, so support the ones weve got, Their actually not that bad!

Uprising, No, I wasnt a player, but I do believe that for the most part, most of the players like the coach, and I think Clinton has a good chance against AC! I dont think Oak Ridge is that good, they lost Gulmire, and some more valuable players, and they played like a bunch of peewee's, I've seen their practices, and they can be good when they want to be, and last Friday night, DEFINETELY was not one of those times!!!!

Hey "uprising2007", I dont know what your problem is, but I think you need to grow up! I just graduated from Clinton last year, and I NEVER heard a complaint about coach shattuck, and i never heard ANY of the football players complain about anything that went on, on the field, coach Shattuck is one of the only coaches, where you have to be doing good in academics, (making passing grades) to be able to play, that shows alot, it proves he cares for his boys, if he didnt, he would just play the best, there is some good stuff going on at Clinton, and people like YOU are gonna ruin it, I dont know if you had a kid that had to sit on the bench, or what it is, but you need to stop acting like a 2 year old!!!!

Nick Frazier was a freshmen last year, he didnt play till the last few games by CHOICE! When he finally played, he was AWESOME!!!!

I have to agree, but I believe that Westin can do it, he has the moves, and is just small enough to be tricky, but also big enough to do something. I do believe that Nick Frazier would have to be the Go To Receiver.

Both of the Qb's are doing pretty good, it wouldnt surprise me at all if coach shattuck actually played them both, as far as the running back goes, Westin Hazlehurst will make a good one, if the line will make way!

How do you all think the dragons will do this year? according to the paper, they are gonna have a really good season, maybe even playoffs?

I think you are all a bunch of whiney butts, you dont know your left side from your right! this topic was created to talk about the football team as a TEAM!!!!!!!! Not as how many kids are quitting or whats going on between the parents and the kids, or the kids and the parents, or the kids and the coaches, or even the coaches and the parents! Clinton could win 4-6 games this year, and the team dont look to bad, I dont know how they did against Kingston, but I would like to know!

Well, They are looking much better physically, so mainly a small number of players! Still undersized compared to other teams across 4a!

Sorry about that, I guess the players are working hard! The football team is having a in school orange/black football game, so all the students can see it, that is a good way to get some more student support, I believe that we should have a pretty good, small team next year!

That is a pretty cool website, i guess that is a start to trying to get the fans involved. If you ask me, the players need to be more committed, I was talking to one today, and he said he wasnt going to practice, he was gonna tell coach that he had something to do, just cause he wanted too. That is not a good way to get better!!!!!!

Hello, it's me again! There are a few players that quit, but the ones that did are new players that tried it out, didnt even start spring practice, and then they decided they didnt want to play, the team is on a upswing, Westin is looking Great, he is stronger, Taller, and just much tougher than he was this time last year. I know we are losing some descent players from last year, but it WILL Be improving!

Does anyone know when the first scrimmage is, and where?

Ive been watching and a listening, aint had much to talk about the past few weeks. I think Clinton will be better though, even though I will graduate this year, I will always keep up with our team. Oak Ridge will take it again this year, but wait till 2008....

It would be wonderful for the Clinton people to support the Dragon athletic program more. Well, I dont know if you have ever been in our gym, but nobodys basketball facility around, compares to ours, its like for the team to get support, they have to be good first, and ORidgeKat, our basketball team is young, Tuesday night, we had up to four freshmen on the court at the same time! Honestly, this year our freshmen class has brought in better talent in football and basketball then the previous several years, maybe that is a good thing! I mean, you aint gonna find much more of a competitive, just all around good football player like Westin Hazlehurst, just anywheres.

I hope the Dragons do good, with the oak ridge game in the middle of the season, maybe we can play a game first that can get our confidence up a little!

The Dragons den is a hard place to play, with about 450 in the student section, AC is going back LOSERS!!

Clinton looked terrible against a Very good Wildcat team, but they looked pretty good against powell last night, I say it will be close, Dragons by 1.

We have some boys walking the halls, that could make some mighty players!
