THEDEANSAYS Hey it's great you guys won I wasn't able to attend but have seen it on the local coverage , I like the different D sets and also the different looks in the 3-3 but when you start strong you got to finish strong play hard for 4 quarters as far as the chain gang I haven't talked to anyone to know but I seen a post about volunteers and that's rite I know for a fact that at least 3 of them have boys on the field and they are heck of a lot better places to see the game !!!!! I Don't have the scoop on that but I'll get it . Man the offence was clicking very few mistakes just keep working they just get better from here, and don't think that Taft is going to be a cake walk there's a lot of talent that goes in and out of there so practice hard . THEDEANSAYS I had a chance to go through the paper and check out the game Friday of oz gp, looks like gp handled them pretty ruff . My early account of West being the qb apparently was wrong he played WR all the game and had 93 yards on 4 kickoff returns Haynes is tough and totaled 83 yards rushing that coming mostly in the 2nd half he was a force to recon with on the d side of the ball even though not much of that was mentioned in the paper . Pointer the qb had one complete pass to west and one interception in 4 attempts I believe so scott get-ready I think it's going to be a running game . punished you still talk it pretty good , I did play for the man just like you , and like any other REAL highlander I left my young ones in the county to suffer their beatings instead of sending them down that path well traveled , but I some what understand EVERYONE loves a winner. AS far as me anointing any one I didn't but I do have high hope for these guys only time will tell and i'm not slamming anyone Bill is still around and what I say isn't near as bad as what was said about any of them the past four years if you were around when Jordan was the man and we lost key games by 3 hmmmm what was you sayin while I was supporting, oh I almost forgot I have had 4 days in pads once or twice , anyhow I'll never be a turn coat

And I know wins don't come easy, except in your region. face it all these years while we have been getting our heads kicked in by the likes of Fulton AE Kingston and oh yes Anderson county (and if you don't think it's tough just ask Tony Lambert) what was you guys doing besides shuffling your attendance to stay in that little slice of Heaven you call a region?

I think if scoot keeps working like that there will be even more improvement, The boys got to know they have the best head coach that's been there in a long time, not to mention the talent he brought with him so play hard for him but more important practice even harder and learn a little every day and I guarantee you won't believe were you guys end up!!! so ask the coach for some hittin and four days in the pads, I bet OZ is in pads tomorrow. MR. 4/4 stack we seem to agree on a lot except one thing I see the game being a little higher score from both teams , yes they are looking closer to the old days , Just stay behind the team no matter what ! THEDEANSAYS

Toughts to ponder from THEDEAN With west at OB a fourth year man (I don't know if he was the starter last year )brings leadership to that position. Haynes is though with little over 2000 yards of offence last year , Not only can he take it on the run he can cacth it real good, he is to OZ as Wesley was to us last year look for Haynes wide left a lot. I hear the new coach goes with a lot of spread and some no back sets . That tells me OZ will be slinging that ball all over . On the D side of their ball with the studs gone I wonder who is filling those shoes . In past postings I see that Tyner paid rocket boy town a visit and went wild . Not taking away from OZ tyner is a good team big and fast. My guys tell me Scott looked some what better , meaning they put points on the board so! Coach you must remember!!!!!! gotta pull for you school if you don't you get egg on your face every time last week you looked smart this week I just don't know. and as for the other stick to slinging chic kin you get that write more than half the time. Hey when we go to AE you want us to bring some back you can analyze it and come up with a super recipe

there is joy in scott county today and soon the young Highlanders will turn their thought to OZ , But first lets take a look at some of the highlights and some of the low lights. Gibbs did what any other team would have done, they tested the defence right off and found that the line coach caught on to the idea of keeping the guys on their feet instead of diving at the O-lines feet worked a whole lot better . I was real disappointed with some of the early subbing if it ain't broke don't fix it (if you never played D-line it takes a lot of time to get your timing back) there was some young players made it in and can play if politics don't get in the way of real coaching , the defence played a real good I still noticed some missed tackles but not near as much as last week but before I wrap up the this side of the ball I have a question why was 16 left wide open over and over. the main thing is scott looked more like the Highlanders I remember, looking for the hit! The offence looked right at home with the ball I can't get over how the O-line looked I think they are 100% percent better than some in the past even as small as they are, it goes to show you that you can't substitute good coaching , That young man works his but off he coached before the game, during the game , and after the game. Come on school board i am sure that if you looked you could make a wise move sub two for one . I also noticed that we got the TE in the game, good run after the catch. the wide outs done some good down field blocking the OB played smart ball he checked off all his options before he tucked it and ran and yes we let the tailback in game and what a job he did !!!!!!!!!!!! . Defence first half A. second half c-. offence first half B+ second half I am not sure the coach was trying all that hard we will wait and see. OH yes, the refs I have made a lot of trips up there since 79 but the past few years they have stunk it up goes to show you Gibbs can't buy a game against Scott I grade them FFFFF
