  1. Well, it pretty much means DC and Dyersburg both are state bound. (Hopefully . . . knock on wood) Win on lose on Wed., both teams play a inner-city Memphis team. (The winner plays at home, the loser travels to Memphis) DC and Dyersburg just have to beat their respected opponents from Memphis . . . and that pretty much means . . . two teams from Dyer County are going to state. Let's just say inner-city Memphis high schools don't play baseball like they do basketball. Niether team can afford to get their hopes up though, because the second they get cocky . . . well lets just say that it might end sooner that anyone hoped.
  2. Dyersburg wins 1-0! Anyone got the DC-Ripley score?
  3. Dyersburg had 5 errors. An error early in the game cost Dyersburg 3 runs. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
  4. Dyersburg defeats Gibson County 9-1
  5. Because Dyersburg is hosting a tourny thursday when DC wants to play and wednesday they played a freeze out game against westview and they wanted to play a double header that day and it wasnt going to happen either
  6. Yeah, I agree. He made two bad calls against DYERSBURG in the last inning. He is just a horrible ump, period. (I am being serious) . . . /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. Oh . . . that's not biased at all. Haha . . . ever think that they don't like each other because . . . Oh I don't know . . . It is a rivalry?!?!?! How about DC's coach yelling at a Trojan fan in the crowd??? It is just part of the rivalry. Next time DHS will probably have the 3 starters that they didn't have last night. That might change the outcome and it might not, but it will probably be much closer.
  8. Dyer County wins 9-5. Dyersburg was hurting tonight without Shaw, Tyler, and Colin.
  9. I'm not sure which players are suspended, but I know that there are multiple players who will not play in the Dyer County series.
  10. Dyersburg only has 2 seniors . . . Tracy Rattlif is a BEAST! She is a near perfect center fielder and in the only game I watched so far, she hit two homers; a two run shot and a three run shot. One of them was an absolute BLAST. She signed with Dyersburg State. The other Senior is Anna Childress. Anna has had to compete with a very talented group of underclassmen to get playing time, and doesn't always play varsity, but she is good. She also signed to play at DSCC. Don't know about Dyer Country.
  11. These two teams face off tomorrow night and Tuesday. I say, if one of these teams sweeps the series, I think that team will be the clear frontrunner to go and win the district. Who yall got?
  12. Prather is simply a beast. If memory serves me right, Dyersburg and NS were tied at the half when the two faced off in Jackson early on in the season. Prather got called for 2 first half charges and had to sit out the last 3 minutes of the first half. NS outscored Dyersburg 25-3 in the third quarter. In other words, yes, it would be wise to get Prather in foul trouble, but he will eventually come back into the game. Then again, in EVERY game this year, Dyersburg fell apart in the third. (Except @ DC, that was the 4th /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> ) Maybe DC can play well enough to make it close at the end and have Prather in foul trouble. Who knows, DC might not have to have Prather in foul trouble to win, but they will have to hit their free throws and open up the perimeter game. Good luck DC.
  13. Yes. The girls games were supposed to be Saturday, but were re-scheduled for tomorrow, which pushed the boys games to Tuesday. I think we posted at exactly the same time . . . HA. I'm not sure about that either, I would assume so, but who knows.
  14. Try 2-19 inches . . . Some of the deepest accumulations include: Maury City- 18.5", Jackson 12.5", Ripley 10", Hayti, Mo- 16", Blytheville-12", Atoka- 12.4" The NWS really missed this one, but ANYWAY back to basketball!
  15. First off, I have student assistant first hour in school, meaning I don't have a class. Thanks for trying to be my mom though. Second, maybe my earlier post wasn't clear; I KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I am very aware about what you are talking about. Just as much as you are. I have my own sources. I know what my limitations are. I know exactly what I can say and what I can't say. Exactly what have I "been doing" that nothing good will come from?
  16. SOMEONE FROM DYER COUNTY ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!! Great Post bigman15 /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. Come on adsmom, stop trying to start a Red Scare. Dyersburg posters are aware of what you are talking about. We KNOW more than you think. (I don't know about bigman15, but ALOT of us do) "The CoachT Salem Witch Trials" /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. If McCord got it, and Westview fans boed . . . omg . . . we would be hearing about it for a year. DC fans still talk about how Dyersburg cheered when they announced the OC-DC game results.
  19. There is a HUGE difference in stats and coaching. The stats are used to pick MVP and all-tournament/district team. The conduct of a coach and how well the team performs with the talent they have is what determines coach of the year. That's why Coach Decker should have won COY.
  20. That's funny, if she didn't want to play DC anymore, don't you think the two teams wouldn't be scheduled for next year???
  21. The real Tim Tebow is on steriods and likes boys. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  22. Dec. 12 vs Milan L 70-59 Jan. 20 vs Milan W 67-61 Jan. 9 vs Dyer County W 60-57 Feb. 3 vs Dyer County W 64-36 Jan. 13 vs Crockett W 72-62 Feb. 6 vs Crockett W 74-44 Jan. 6 vs Obion L 87-71 Jan. 30 vs Obion L 74-69 Dec. 19 vs Westview L 77-40 Jan. 31 vs Westview L 54-45 Tuesday night, Dyersburg beat Dyer County by 28. At one point led by 39. The score was 40-15 at the half. Friday, Dyersburg beat Crockett by 30. This team is playing good basketball. I expect Dyersburg to play Gibson County MUCH closer than before, and by tournament time this team will be a Cinderella.
  23. Check your facts. Dyersburg will be playing Dyer County next year in basketball. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  24. JT (41) fouls out about 3/4 of his games . . . he is aggressive . . . no different tonight . . . he probably committed 10! My post said that the refs 1)changed the momentum 2) changed the pace 3)were not consistant When a ticky-tacky is called at one end and then not the other about . . . 5 times in a matter of 2 minutes that is inconsistant. When refs go from keeping their whistle in their pocket to sounding like the New York orchestra, THAT IS A PROBLEM. DC played a good game . . .Take the complements to heart more than you do the jabs, it will make your day better. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  25. Wow, C-town did play . . . hmmm . . . /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> . . . Leading scorer tonight as well? Anybody got stats?
