Correction to previously posted JPII scrimages from Saturday. Ravenwood defeated Good Counsel MD 2-0 Both teams looked good and played good games.

Franklin plays runner-up of tonights Hendersonville/Clarksville Region 5 final and Ravenwood takes on the winner of Hendersonville/Clarksville final. From discussions on this board most posters seem to think Ravenwood's Saturday opponent will be Hendersonville.

Coaches decided to play a day early before the rain got here. Hard played game by both teams with lots of heart. No score through 80 minutes, plus two 10 min. OT's and two 5 min. sudden death OT's. Several balls almost in or bounced off crossbar but no score. PK's Ravenwood missed 3 of 4 and Franklin hit 3. Good shots by Franklin. Do not know that the keepers touched any of the shots, we just missed.

Final Results Coaches discussed it and decided to play before rain moved in since we were both local teams and field was available. RHS-FHS district game was terrible weather last week.

Region 6 AAA Region Finals Franklin - Ravenwood 0-0 after 4 OT's PK's Franklin 3 - 1 over Ravenwood

This may belong in the old underclassmen thread but wanted to mention Ravenwood's freshman keeper Lauren Putty has done a fantastic job in the district run and getting better every game with experience against upperclassmen. Several upperclassmen have under estimated her play on breakaways this season. She has moved to the Div. 1 club team Brentwood Beat '92 for the upcoming club season.

Do not know what the bracket looks like. Presume Centennial or Brentwood are next. Ravenwood squeaked by Independence tonight 3-2 in the second overtime period. Last team playing downwind got the win, terrible weather.

Ravenwood has a tough next few games. Scrimmages against BGA and Father Ryan, followed by starting season with JP II, Franklin, Baylor, GPS and Centennial. Guess baptism by fire gives you lots of experience for a generally young team.

Interesting discussion. I'm new to this forum. I'm the raptor keeper's dad so be nice to our little girl. She'd rather be at mid-field than keeper but is very capable at either.
