Great let's teach kids it is ok to cheat as long as you don't get caught. OR Teach them it isn't cheating unless you get caught. Great lessons. Problem is they take that same philosophy to their jobs and marriages. Maybe this is why good people are leaving the profession. We all know the rules, to those of you who are not - run your programs with integrity.

He is looking for a DC as an asst. One would assume the offense will stay the same with the same OC, that would be good for continuity. IF he gets to hire a DC with out a teaching spot what will Roberts do?

NO they don't have the funds. They are still paying off the loss to BA. That's why we have 8 state FB championships and ridiculous playoff ticket prices.

The AD is responsible for the athletic programs and of course it about getting kids, but how hard are they trying. You can be creative to get more kids on your campus and the see what happens. If they fired Harrison based on him not being Baptist and that is a new policy by the new headmaster than so be it. Then they better fire a ton of teachers over there because I know for a fact they are not all baptist or attend baptist churches including the AD. The new soccer complex was about a donor who loves soccer and a deal was worked out with the YMCA, no one would turn down free money for any complex. IF he gets two assistant in the building he will be miles ahead of the last two coaches there. I am sure he got a heck of a sales job to leave Cumberland where they have been winning. This is almost worse than my last thought. So they fired their current coachfor aguy who is not coaching at all to be the head coach and he has no head coaching experience? Who makes these decisions over there? Surely the AD can't orchestrate and sell this concept all by himself? What are the new principal (who I was told gets athletics) and the Headmaster doing during all of this? Maybe the speculation of 8 man is accurate, but why then all the secrecy? Just tell everyone that is the plan and get a coach who can get them heading that way. Very odd all the way around. The kids there deserve something good to come from this mess. I hope they get it.

If football at MJCA is about the kids playing then get them a coaching staff with good assistants and give them a chance and see if it makes a difference. Yes they are short on talent but commit something to help the head coach help the kids. Until MJCA decides they want football to be better from the administration on down and there are a couple new faces, nothing will change. Success breeds success ask any program that wins more than it loses. Who is it going to be? I can't think of any coaches in Wilson county with Science or PE teaching areas and the experience that would fit into a small private school environment and want that kind of challenge.

Commitment to athletics means giving the coaches the necessary tools to help the kids be successful. Staffing the teams with quality coaches, funding the needs and some of the wants, not just whatever and whoever is convenient. Describe their good facilities, they are ok.

Could they play in DII-A? Are they choosing to play up like BGA was? (rumor is BGA is moving back down) If they are and they can move down, they are competitve immediately and that makes the job very attractive that with the more than likely lucritive pay.
