Being a South fan i was majorly disappointed with Souths gameplan last night, Unfortunatly i had to work but listened on the radio and it sounded like the Curt Phillips show to nowhere. We have a great QB but why try to win the game with ONE man, I heard and as well was told by family that went it was UGLY. South should rebound and do ok in the MLC but that was a serioussly 1 sided ball game. i think South didnt come prepared for this rivalry game and got outplayed hands down, Hats off to Db for an Awesome game and gameplan. I also heard that Jeffers the back up Qb got some more playing time in the latter part of the second half and looked pretty good also. Go BIG BLUE!!

Yeah Phillips Is a big strong kid no doubt, So I dont see him being Knocked out of the game. And to answer a post earlier there are a few plays involving Jeffers and Phillips on the field at the same time. I Predict.....................South 24 - DB 17 GO REBELS!!

Yeah Phillips looked great at the jamboree, really impressive comeback from the shoulder injury no doubt. He looks to be showing no signs of worry or doubt in his throwing capabilities and thats great. I hope he has a another stellar season for South. Dont think for a minute guys that I dont like Phillips or doubt his abilities and athletisism hes proven that and I no anyone can take that away from him, and yes it looks like hes got the start so good Luck in the MLC Rebels.

I look forward to seeing this show, im glad to see that South has stepped it up and gotten the Rebels and thier upstart Coach into the limelight. Coach carter should do a great job with this.

I think it will be a close one but DB should prevail in this matchup.

Doubleplay = Mr. Phillips? LOL guys youve taken all this to far and the wrong way, cant we even tak about our own guys and give them praise w/o the forum bashing? Not a single post of mine downs anyone or says anything negative about anyone. YOu guys have to be from DB no doubt.

Well i see StanTrott has followed me again LOL, and still has no clue what he is talking about on the matter, cause I dunno what practices youve watched because until last week Jeffers looked like the deffinate starter, until the last 1 or 2 practices it was all Jeffers then they started to split reps to check out Phillips strength and range of the recovering shoulder.

Oh on that yes w/o a doubt I think hes better all around than Phillips in MY OPINION. And if you had been to any scrimmages you would have seen him start and show just how good he is. But if you were a true South fan wouldnt you have seen and been to some of these practices, scrimmages and some 7 on 7s to have seen him at the healm all summer??? Or are you just going on last years info and stats to post on this subject?? And to post that he has no where near the stength deffinatly comes from someone who knows absolutly nothing about the matter or seen them play LOL. Biased you ask, no its called an honest observation.

Post these types of comments?? No one said Phillips is bad bud, hes exceptional in his own right. I stated the facts in MY OPINION

Actually Sophmore Phenom Brad Jeffers has taken all the spring practice reps w/ the 1st team offense and started almost all of thier scrimmages w/ Phillips as a reciver if hes not good to go. And this guy looked unstoppable in throwing, timing was perfect and running, lets just say i wont go thier caus eit would scare too many of you Indians back to the woods =) Oh and i predict a South win 17-10

Well as a fan and former South alum I think we will have a great year once more, team looked great at Jamboree and handily beat North w/ no problems. And as for depth I think the unknown blackhorse on this team is Sophmore QB Brad Jeffers he took almost all the snaps w/ the first team thru spring practice and wowed many last year as Souths Freshman and JV starting QB. Philips was injured thru the summer w/ a shoulder injury and Jeffers took over and I personally thought they looked better with thier timing and all around teamwise w/ Jeffers at the helm of the team. So look out if Phillips falters or the shoulder injury re-occurs MLC will see a much faster stronger armed QB at the helm of the Rebels!!
