  1. Anna Fisher of Centennial was injured at the Centennial vs. Notre Dame game. She and the ND goalie collided on a breakaway. Anna did a flip and landed on her head. It was ugly to watch. They called an ambulance and took her off the field on a back board and wearing a neck brace. This happened early in the second half. After the ambulance left, the coaches of both teams decided to call the game. Notre Dame scored their 2 goals against Centennial in the 1st two minutes of the game, and Centennial answered before the half to tie it up. I don't know the specifics of the Centennial vs. Baylor game, but I'm sure Anna weighted heavily on their minds.

  5. True, ND's field isn't much as far as soccer fields go-- too narrow, no shoulders to speak of. The grass itself is in great shape, though that might change tonight with a football (ND vs. Hixson) being played on it.
  6. Notre Dame has 4 or 5 girls who are all scoring threats
  7. Point taken. There is a lot of soccer between now and the end of the season, but the point remains that this should be a very good game. Notre Dame has a very strong schedule, playing teams like Centennial, ECS, Father Ryan, Ravenwood, CCS, Baylor, GPS, and Ooltewah. FRA's schedule includes some of the same -- GPS, Baylor, BA, BGA, Centennial, JPII. I expect both teams will be a lot better some November.
  8. On 8/26 at 3:00 at Notre Dame, they will be playing against FRA in the GPS Tournament. Do you think this might be a preview of the A/AA Final? Any predictions?
  9. Notre Dame Scrimmage results: 8/15 - ND 3, Ooltewah 8/22 (30 minute games) ND 0, Soddy Daisy 0 ND 1, Grace 0 ND 0, Red Bank 0 ND 1, McMinn Central 0
