Hello everyone it's great to finally be back on here! Now somehow this topic has changed to many different things but we need to get it back to the only one that matters and that is HC v.s. DC. I went to the game this past saturday night and HC was not challenged at all by Northwest. No disrespect but Northwest looked like a middle school team. Now DC, I believe is the biggest test on the regular season schedule. They have all their skill position guys returning and only lost some linemen i believe. This Friday night will show us where the defense and offense truly stand.

well hope he has you guys ready because ya'll start with Henry County, and we're gonna be pretty tough this year

Yanker i can see not alot has changed since the end of the season. First, you continue to doubt HC, which is a real big mistake. Second, you also continue to worry about other teams when jcm will be lucky to win 3 games this year. all in all look for HC to do alot of good things this year, and yes going undefeated and winning the region are both possible.

I'm in the HC band ,but i'm also excited for their band to come back! But as long as we win the game i'll be happy..Haha

Melrose is 4real this post season. Everyone is focused and ready to play. The reason they scored after halftime is because Jr. MLB #7 Antonio Harper sat the rest of the game out(hurt ham string) who got an offer Florida State last week.He makes our Defense 100 times better when hes out there. Our Offense has a complete make-over since our head coach started calling the plays(instead of our O.C). Expect us to be in the State this year because we are 4real.

south side is not overrated at all they are darn good and better than giles co. But, the fact is playoff football is not about who is the best, but who is playin the best on that given night and it sounds as if giles was the team that played the best.

Your analysis was correct about last year and this year to a point. Last year we were good in the secondary, but very week in the front seven. This is why we had trouble with teams that spread us out. This year started off with much of the same. Craigmont was a start, but by no means were things completely corrected. I also felt the team gave up after that punt return vs. Melrose. Our offense is legit. Right now we can score on anyone if we cut our mistakes down. The defense will be the difference. You are right, they have not been tested. The coach has made quite a few adjustments to improve the defense. Especially after Millington. HC will be a true test, but I don't foresee the same outcome as last year. Offense is our strength this year, we know that. Remember they have to stop us as well. We learn from our mistakes. You can't run from your competition though. This is why we look forward to the challenge. We have not been completely happy with our performances lately, but we see the potential. We know what we have to do to win. You have to remember that there was only a 2 pt difference between us and Fairley. We weren't as good as we are now on either side of the ball. We will see Friday if we are a fraud. Thanks for you sarcasm though.

you know you sure have ran your mouth off by saying that hc is overlooking east. well my friend you and your pals seem to be underestimating HC. and quite frankly your disrepect for HC will change come this friday night. you talk a big game about this offense, Well we will just how good they are? Whether you believe it or not HC is pretty good too, just look at our sos rankings compared to yours.

not exactly sure, but pretty sure i believe that it would actually be at patriot stadium because in the third and fourth rounds home field flip flops. if you think back to last year melrose had the better record but had to go on the road to jcm and hillsboro. but i look up and clarify it tomorrow

He is a joke...a grown man blowing a horn in an attempt to make a highschool kid miss a fieldgoal....that is truly sad...you should all be ashamed. HC is a good team that plays with hart, but this guy needs to realize that he's not on the team...his son is.....pathetic.....

Excuse me, But you are a joke and so is your fanbase. trying to rub a victory in a teams face after a game like the one last week is an absolute crime and YOU AND YOUR FANS SHOULD BE ASHAMED

I dont think YOU were thinking very clearly. It doesnt make it right because other people were cursing too. I like Randy, he is the BEST fan. BUT the has got to learn to control his emotions. I was at the Kenwood game when they wouldnt allow him to blow his horns. Within the last minute of the game he stood up, turned around and screamed to the ENTIRE crowd, something to the effect of "If I had blown my horn they would have really got f---ed up!" That is not heresay, I heard that with my own ears. And blowing a horn while the other team's kicking in OT is shameful. Could you imagine trying to hold 150 pound Randy back if his son were the one kicking and the other side blew a horn that caused him to miss?

 

Think of Melrose last year. They had probably 1000+ fans and supporters in the community and in the stands that were awesome and showed real hospitality towards HC last year. They also had probably 80-90 fans that were horrible, who sat in our stands shakin keys in our faces, drinking (alcohol, duh), smoking, cursing and everything else. The only thing anyone seemed to remember about that game were the 89-90 fans who had bad sportsmanship. No one talked about the GREAT football team Melrose had, or all the great fans who cooked and grilled and stopped them to welcome them to orange mound, or anything else. When people like SS fans come to HC, I dont want them to leave and talk about the guy screaming obscenities and blowong his horns. I want them to talk about the great football team they saw play.

no, YOU aren't thinking clearly. you say you heard him at the kenwood game say a bad word. then later on you say your friend told you. which is it? your are exactly what a fan base DOESN'T need by trying to bring down the faithful. So Quit trying to talk bad about people and start trying to make some noise for the Big Red as They demolish jcm.

Guys it's finally that time of the year to put a close on the humurous post of the yanker. after tonight the yanker will sell his computer,and forget about the sport of football, as he decides to move to a different country and pick up the sport of cricket. so LET'S GO BIG RED. go out there and put a spanking on jcm.

Boy I know you guys aren't going to like me for this one, but you really have to think about this situation and use your head on this one. Personally, I don't like Kreisky or Poole myself, but they have a job to do. I know this is a big game and it means a lot to the fan base and the kids. You have to realize how many young children are sitting with their parents between where Randy sits and where the band is. The first goal of school is to teach a valuable way of life and respect and education. When a man stands up and uses vulgar language at the band or the officials in front of small children of all ages, its not right. Think about how many teenagers are between Randy and the sidelines, walking by, hearing those remarkes. It does look good or sound good at all. I know Randy gets wound up, and he's a good fan, but you can't have that going on. To say you are going to Boo Kreisky and Poole for doing their job right "for once" is a bad thing. I know the "yacker" is going to like this, but I'm sorry Randy is wrong for what he did and something had to be done. Here we go!

i understand what you're trying to say, but i don't think you thought about it clearly so let me help you. He did not use vulgar language to anyone in the stands. the use of vulgar language came in play about some penalties called by the ref. And from talking to friends who sit in the stands they said they heard quite few people cussing about the penalties too. so why single randy out? because we have a sorry adminstration who doesn't think it's right to cheer for your team, that's why.

Two things Yanker. I did understand your post pretty well yesterday. You didn't say 95% were wealthy, you said most. Which again is just not true. Nonetheless, the kids from JCM will know they were hit by the Big Red just as all of our kids will know they were hit by JCM. Nuff said about that.

 

Now, it seems that RedPride is on a hiatus but I have heard that he is sick and not able to be on here like he was. This week has not been negative at all, just lots of healthy back and forth between JCM and HC in true fashion. And as for Randy, I think the unsportsmanlike stuff was mandated from the refs somehow, not by choice from our Administration. I wouldn't doubt that it had something to do with the train whistle going off during the last play of the game the other night. Oh well, it will probably just mean that the rest of us will all be even louder just to make sure that the kids know we are there!!!

The decision to get on randy came down on him from a not so spritiful administration here in henry county. it's pretty sorry when you have school adminstrators try and quiet down one of the most loyal fans in the nation. every one of the players were sadly disappointed when they found out that there would not be any horn blowing because they love randy and his horns. he is behind they boys and several of them have said that he gets them pumped up. so if you agree with me, then go with me to voice your opinion in very respectful way to the administration that we need randy on friday night for one of the BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR

HC last year scored 22 PPG and this year 27 PPG. Almost a TD more.

Defense last year 17 PPG and this year 18 PPG.

 

Some could argue but I think this years schedule is tougher than last.

 

Maybe the few that are negative just can't figure out why Pats are 4-4? Maybe they look to one thing that is the reason. There is no One Thing. At this point it is like a tie baseball game and with the next inning is like starting over. From Saturday on is new season with target of first playoff game at home. Two more to take care of before they reach that goal.

I agree, our schedule is one of the toughest in high school football. just look at the strength of schedule rankings and success against schedule here on coacht HC is in the top 15 in both columns

Thanks for the vote of confidence here cougarmike! I would realy, REALLY like to see a score like that. But I have to side with the Yanker in thinking that it is unlikely. Southside is a powerhouse ranked near the top of 3A in the state. We can beat them, no doubt, but it will be more of a dogfight that will be extremely physical!

This would be correct. Whichever of us is the higher ranked seed out of the two teams from the same region would host the game. The great thing is that whoever is hosting from 7 or 8 will have a home game for the semi's this year.

if we were to play them in the third round it would be in henry county because in third and forth round home field advantage flip flops from the top to the bottom of the bracket. plus you have to play at least one road game on your way to a championship and if with the semi's being hosted by our two regions this year the onlly time the could go on the road would be the third round

longest field goal last season was 51 yards against wooddale in the first round of playoffs; also kicked a 49 yard field goal against ravenwood in the semis

 

not sure what percentage of his kicks went in the endzone last year but this year it is over 90%

 

already holds the shelby-metro record for most field goals in a career and several other records as well. only needs 3 more this season to break the state career record.

 

josh has been kicking for ridgeway since he was a freshman. in his first game as a freshman, he kicked a field goal with 0.2 seconds left on the clock to beat briarcrest.

 

this was to be the first year he would have the same deep snapper and holder as the previous year, but last years holder has been injured since summer and that has made a big difference for him.

I agree that jasper is heck of a kicker. but, is not to the talent of #17 daniel allen from henry co. not only does dan kick extra points, field goals, and kickoff, but he is also a starting wide receiver that makes the difficult catches, that kid is just an all-around athlete.

The YANKER is sure your new coach brings a breath of fresh air and confidence into your program and he has experience at winning, even if it was in an easy league...but winning is winning...and that is the bottom line. He has won a championship and that separates him from most. But the real question is where would Munford be without the transfers??? Most schools do not even get one transfer who is a difference maker over the course of several years. By my last count , Munford has three...and they may be the best three players on your team!!! So the turnaround at Munford may not be able to be defined until a few years pass...unless you can count on your three best players to come from other schools each and every year. The YANKER is not being critical because the TSSAA apparently has signed off on all of this...the YANKER just speaks the truth as I see it.

I agree but, the TSSAA thought it was okay for them to transfer so they are who they are. no matter what they will be suited up friday night so we'll just shut them down

well it seems as if a lot of people think that munford may be slightly overlooked this week and i am here to reassure you that isn't the case. the boys have worked extremely hard this week knowing first place in the region is on the line. also, they know all of the dangerous ball carriers that munford posses.

Nice Game Pats. 2-0 in the region against a good team. Brighton was fast folks. but their QB can call up Hardin County's QB and Compare Notes on W. Henry, Matt Scott, and Lamar Theus because they both got eatin alive by the Patriot Defense.

 

Good Game Munford I like nothing better than seeing JCM Getting Beat. All the Talk that "Yanker" said about Henry County playing for second and nobody can beat JCM made him look even more clueless.

yes, indeed w.henry, matt scott, and lamar are doing a heck of a job on that d-line but, don't forget bout that other kid #76 he's pretty solid himself. i see him get double-teamed quite a bit.

Please do not fret "Oh Winged Mass Of Confusion". I hoped, but did not expect you to understand. HC is in shambles. The YANKER can only do so much. There may not be enough help out there.

Mr.Yanker from what i've read you seem to think jcm "owns" HC. well considering that jcm has yet to play a regular season game and in the preaseason they lost to milan, ya'll might be in for a rude awakening week 8 when you come to Patriot Stadium. Now you might want to watch them play before you make a prediction.But, until that week gets here there is no sense in talking about it.

Quite frankly im tired of hearing all this talk about the play calling. The offense simply didn't execute but thats in the past. This week is an even bigger week for us as we go on the road to Dickson County. So everybody get everything together and be ready to cart the barrel back to Paris Tennessee. By the way... GO PATRIOTS!
