  1. Ive got him narrowed down to 2 people and I'm pretty sure I know which of the 2 he is...
  2. You're right... I have no clue about DB football... In fact I don't even know anything about the sport of football I just get on here and act like I do so I can feel good about myself... isn't it the sport where the kick the ball and pull their shirts up when they score and the announcers say GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL?
  3. First of all Crazy, you have to give the 04 Jeff County team credit for making it a close game but even more so because they figured out the defense that could slow down our potent offense. Until that point in the season we had been scoring like crazy against everybody, even Oak Ridge. After that game everyone used Jeff's game plan and kept us from putting up a lot of points. Second of all, if you are going to continue to post on coacht you may want to rethink your statements because for the first time on this board DB fans and the fans of their opponents (except for dbwatchdog) are all united in one cause, and that cause is making fun of you. Your posts make you sound like a first class punk. Just because you played the past 3 years does not make you the all-knowing guru of DB football, there are some people that post on here that have been following the program for atleast 30+ years and many others who played for the program either in the current era or past eras... so you don't know more than the people on this board, youre just young and you think you do

    DB

More about the game of football AND the program? thats a bold statement
  5. Yall have to excuse mr. crazy... he has a serious fear that this years team could even be compared to the team he played on, let alone possibly be more succesful... from here on out just refer to him as uncle rico "man if coach just had put me in in the fourth quarter we woulda taken state"- mr. crazy

    DB

I heard that before the scrimmage DB is going to recognize one of their finest alumni and football players who went on to attend school at Carson-Newman. This individual would be #44 Christopher 'Stumpy' Cameron.

    DB

Plain and simple Clark would not run a certain type of offense if he did not believe it was capable of working... its not like he just gets all these ideas and does not take his teams talent into consideration... if he didnt believe it would work he would scrap it... and the point behind the defensive scheme is that there has not been the large guys that didnt also play somewhere on the offensive line in a long time... small defensive tackles in a 4-3 are not as capable of occupying lineman and therefore hinder the talent at linebacker

    DB

You may not be bitter about not getting any burn... but you are super bitter about something... and you need to chill out a little bit, you act like Clark is the worst head coach of all time... it comes off as a little immature bringing up how you played for him last year and then completely dissrespecting him and all of your former teammates...
  9. The ranking is easy to explain... DB has a good record every year... and the season has not even started yet so nobody can put much stock into how "down" they are supposed to be... are the poll makers supposed to attend practice for every team in the state before the season starts to evaluate all of the new players and judge just how well they actually think that team is going to do in the season? Pre-season polls mean jack
  10. Is everyone 100% sure that all Clark is gonna do this year is pass the ball? Has anyone been to practice and seen them running mostly passes? Or is everyone just gathering this information from the passing camps... you know... where the idea is to work on the passing game? Just curious
  11. I dont know of any blonde haired kids contender... brown maybe?
  12. Well I mean honestly who is on tnaughtys level?... thats like saying hes on michael jordans level
  13. Well he made huge strides from his junior year to his senior year
  14. Alright I got another one for you... Josh Boggan... he worked harder than anyone I've ever seen the summer before his senior year, staying after workouts and doing agility drills and even doing these drills when the team did not work out... and he came out of nowhere to surprise everyone by starting and being a great tackle... but if you had asked someone before the season they would not have predicted that at all
  15. I would say it would be tough to tell who your impact players are at this point because summer practice hasn't even started yet... Players noone expected to be impact players come out of nowhere once the season starts... after DB lost Moten a couple years ago nobody expect Jesse Alley to step up and be such a defensive force... and going into the 03 season everyone thought that Lamon Williams was the only gamebreaking reciever DB had... that is until Darrell Hayes stepped up and showed his skills... I gurantee someone new and completely unexpected will become an impact player this season
  16. Mr. Crazy, Clark has been the head coach at DB a lot longer than the past 2 years... he has also been in a lot bigger games than the first round match-ups that the team has dropped those years... to base the claim that he simply cannot win big games on the results of the past two years is ridiculous... I wouldn't even call those playoff games "big" games
  17. Mr. Crazy, from what I can gather from your posts, you were a senior last year and you don't think that DB will be as good in football after your class left... well I'm not saying that your wrong or right (well have to see what they do on the field to judge that) but I will say that most graduates have the same feeling about the team the year after they leave. You have practiced with the younger kids and are remembering how they were the year you played.... but these players have had an entire year to get in the weight room and get bigger and stronger, they've had a whole year to run to get faster, they're a year more mature, and not to mention many of them will be motivated by now being seniors and/or a chance to play... Whether Clark can win the big game or not is up for debate, but I will say this about the DB coaching staff... they can get the kids ready to play better than anybody I've ever seen...
  18. Bearden? The team to beat? What's this world coming to?
  19. From everything I hear about william blount is that they're supposed to field a pretty good team and everyone is saying that db is supposed to be down this year but its tough to tell about a team this early when there are a lot of advances the players can make in the next 2 months before the season starts... I will say that I don't forsee the indians being down as much as everyone is predicting at this point
  20. I wasn't saying that what you said wasnt a fact... I was simply showing how statistics can be tweaked to demonstrate whatever point of view one is trying to get across. I also dont think that its denial when someone chooses to look at the playoff success that the program has had over the last 10 seasons instead of just looking at the last 6 years especially since it has basically been the same coaching staff the entire time...
  21. First of all thanks for the very enlightening lesson on stock analysis and business... Second of all you say I am only looking at the stats I want to see? But my entire point was that all of the people that are claiming a typical season for DB is 1 and done in the playoffs are only choosing to look at the last two seasons... One person used a stat earlier claiming that db has lost in the 1st round 3 out of the last 6 seasons... thats another statistic that is being used in a way to make that persons point... and someone else mentioned DB's lack of success in the "Modern playoffs" the length of which would depend on your definition of modern... all of these are subject to the posters bias... and my bias is always going to be pro-DB so therefor the statistics are going to show it...
  22. In the 10 losses that have occured in the past 6 seasons the Indian's ppg was 15.8 while allowing an average of 21.5 ppg (however both of the numbers are skewed due to the very high scoring multiple overtime loss to MBA that began the 2002 season)... In the 63 wins that have taken place over these same seasons DB averaged 31.4 ppg and only gave up an average of 8.4 ppg...
  23. That's just an excuse...1-seed or a 4-seed, home games or away games... the fact remains that DB still has a playoff winning percentage of 61.5% since 97... and the majority of their losses came in the quater-final or semi-final rounds... while William Blount has a playoff winning percentage of a little over 27%... with all of their losses coming in the first two rounds...
