  1. As far as college goes, I think he could be successful to a certain extent. I just watched this kid play twice this year and I thought he did a good job on Defense and so so on offense. What does that mean? Well, you really never can tell how much a kid will improve at the next level or stay the same. Hopefully he will continue is good work ethic and take it to another level. I think about the Guilmire kid from Oak Ridge last year and he wasn't a heavily recruited player and he accomplished a lot at Oak Ridge. There is more to getting a scholarship than what you did in high school though. How would you compare him to the Guilmire kid from Oak Ridge last year?
  2. Not paying too much attention to what u people right on here. Just pay attention to what I hear from your counterparts that I work with it Oak Ridge. Apparently you must be one of those they whisper about. Keep the dollars rolling in!

  4. Julian hasn't had time to set his feet since the season started. Harriman can't score a single point against Coalfield and look like USC against Rockwood. Are you telling me Coalfield has a better D than Rockwood and Kingston? I don't recall the speedsters getting in the open field too many times.
  5. I'm not from Oak Ridge, but i've just been listening to the complaining all year. I didn't start hearing any of this until you all lost the state championship game. All the way up to that point everyone was pretty hush and now all of a sudden he's the worst coach in the world because the talent level this year isn't like last year. To be honest, if OR is all about politics. Stop playing all the boosters kids and put the best people on the field and you all wouldn't have that problem. Oh, that is the problem and that's why basketball will be here for you after next week.
  6. I wasn't saying the guy didn't have a pretty good game and that I think he stinks. all I'm saying is from what i've been hearing on the board is that he could start for any team in the state and after watching I didn't think that was the case. They were outcoached and outplayed, but i've been watching him for two years now and he can't win the big games. He doesn't even know the rules of high school football which was evident on the third down swinging gate play. If you are a high school head football coach you should know you can't cover up the last reciever. They guy I was standing beside called that penalty before the ref did. How many times did they break the huddle with 12 men. I agree their were alot of flags, but most were properly called because they were stupid mistakes made by Harriman. I was in the endzone when big #75 got that unsportsmanlike conduct flag. Just another example of poor judgement by the devils. Can't beat good teams like that!
  7. coaches lost that game for Harriman. I would say he probably called all of 7 plays all night long. What kind of coach tells his quarterback to throw to a certain reciever instead of whose open? Man on Man with no safety and not once did I see a slant of post. Terrible job, but this is the coach you all defend.
  8. Seen him play Friday night and he is not "as advertised" !
  9. I do believe that he is a good player, but some of these statements are ridiculous. Have you even looked at the top recruits any east tenn?? His name is nowhere on the list, so for you to say next to Harrison he is the best is crazy. Truthfully this kid couldn't go start for a few teams in Roane County(very few). The only way you see him playing on Saturdays is if you're watching some local tv station. I'm not downing BD or the Coalfield team when I say that, i'm just giving my opinion. Here is why I say this: Coalfield always has a guy that steps up and dominates in the run game every year. Some of that goes to the O-line, some of it goes to the system, and the some goes to the back. No matter who you put in that backfield the outcome will not differ because those coaches over there know how to get the most out of any back they put back there by getting the most out of the guys in the trenches.
  10. I haven't seen coalfield play this year, but I heard they were pretty tough. I don't know if Harriman will win it up front, but they have a chance in the trenches giving they have played physical teams this year already (see Rockwood and Kingston). If those two schools can't get you ready for single A action then I don't know what can. I'm anxious to see which H-town team will show up for yet another big game.
  11. u must be from red neck island, oh my bad midway, to think that the qb from midway is the fastest in the county. those bums shouldn't even be considered a county team.
  12. Everyone knew Jermaine wasn't that fast since he was in pee wees. I mean he couldn't come within 5 yards of Mark Boyd, so if you are judging speed because of his athletic ability then you're way off. It doesn't take a whole lot of speed in high school to score. Jermaine had the ability to make people miss and the others were slower than him so it didn't matter anyway. Their have been a lot of great people that came through Roane County and I don't think you measure it by who went where and ended up where. I was actually stationed in Wichita Falls, Texas when Jermaine came to the Cowboy camp. Speed had nothing to do with him getting cut from that roster. It was a broken collarbone that kept him off as I witnessed him make a diving catch. The front of the Dallas paper said "Should have been Cowboys" the next day with a picture of Cope and Wood Dantzler. I may be a little off with Harrimans speed, but I guarantee you they have 3 guys that run at least a 4.4!
  13. How many kids do you think Rockwood and Oliver Springs have? Both of those schools are single A in the other sports, so I can't understand why football would be different for them and not Harriman Did you know that the Inman kid will be attending Rockwood High next year?
  14. They have improved a great deal, but I think a lot of the success has to do with the drop down to single A
  15. How about putting that other quarterback in early to see if he can get something going? Now don't bash me because i'm not downing the starter at all. I just know coaches at the next level sometimes do that to give and offense a little spark.
