  1. It looks that way, but it will be interesting to see if they can do it next week against Germantown, who has one of the strongest defenses in the area. Climb out on the limb and give us your projection?
  2. What are you trying to say??? The score according to the newspaper was 3-2 at the half and 4-3 final. Houston on top at half and final. Who is "we" ? one would think that "ponyclub" is a mustang fan. If we were losing at half you must be "draggonclub" ???? Are you just trying to slam SM?
  3. I think Houston is always good for 4. The unknown is what the other team can bring. I really think Collierville is better than my prediction, but was trying to stir the pot. If they (CHS) bring the scoring team, they can run with the best of them, IMO.
  4. I think CoachMikeLHS deserves a little more consideration. First: He does not hide on here. Second: He knows everyone is ready to bash a high scoring game. Third: He spoke first. Fourth: Everybody knows how it can happen, often by own goals or accident or a kids first goal. We had all three happen in one game. Fifth: We should pick on the multiple offenders, not the exception. Sixth: Confession is good for the sole. Way to confess CoachMike.
  5. OK..... I guess you need a boost to get the cobwebs off this site. Basis for prediction. 30 % chance of Rain Waining Moon Houston home field advantage Houston has scored 7o goals, 15 against Collierville has scored 36 goals, 10 agains Houston----------4 Collierville-------1
  6. I would agree with that! Very few postings this year! There are some days where there isn't even one new post! With DonC and Chass leaving, as well as Coniglio and Reaction getting a life, things have gotten rather quiet! It would be nice to keep Mr. Mjuhb out of the weather to do his rankings. I think his two week absence has not given us any fuel. The lack of stupid comments has hurt as well. I will try to do better in that regard.
  7. True on the West teams scores bouncing around and thanks for the complement. Usually anyone east of Shelby county is not so kind. The field conditions have been horrible for three weeks which has changed the team dynamics greatly. As everyone knows, injuries are a factor as well. A plays B well and wins and two weeks later two players have the flu and B beat A. Overall, I think the talent level is up on many teams and much stronger younger players are adding to the teams as well. This has been the quietest I have ever seen girls high school soccer on Coach T in my few years of being on board. Could that be the loss of DonC????
  8. Here's a link to what's current in the West. Check out "more Preps" for scores. I think I posted the wrong link the first time. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/20 ... ccer-team/
  9. Before someone asks: Good game with soggy field conditions. Both teams played fairly even. Both had several scoring opportunities. Both had bad breaks. The only difference in the game had things gone better for both would be the final score. Could have been a 3 -3 or 4-3 game, had missed opportunities gone right for both and either could have come out on top.
  10. St. Agnes 2 - 0 = 2 Houston 1 - 0 = 1
  11. Nope, no way, no how, wouldn't ever. In fact never been to that Caribbean Island. Just " " for emphasis as it was stated, they are just girls. Spoken like a man, and probably not a Dad or as is often the case on here, it was meant to be T I C. You're not gonna get me in that "toss up" question.
  12. Well, Collierville tied CAK 1-1, beat Bearden 3-2 earlier in the year CAK beat Bearden 3-1. Draw what ever conclusions you wish. But always remember its girls soccer, the key word is girls. ....and if I may add, the health of the "girls" at the end of the season when the real games are played.
  13. Just so you don't feel left out, I'll have my smiley throw a ball for you... Water dogs like that kind of stuff, don't they? (I got a laugh looking at the "text" version of the smiley you posted for me... at first I though, "hmmm... Dog must think I am smart." Then I saw the "text" of it and it is "geek". Classic!) BUSTED !!!!
  14. Canes........ Cleansheet......... BIG G................... All on the same page, I feel soooo left out. I bet you could hear KUMBAYA in 7 States.
  15. As much as I disagree with running up a score, I don't agree with giving them a goal. Keepers and the defense take great pride in shutouts, wouldn't be fair to take that away from them in a game when they are probably not getting much action anyway. Sorry, I should have said, "tongue in cheek".
  16. West TN from CA: Lausanne 2-1 Rossville Christian 0-0 Ridgeway 4-1 Central 0-0 St. Mary's 5-5 That's 10 Total FACS 0-0 St. George's 1-1 Harding 1-0 Briarcrest 1-2 ECS 1-0 Bartlett 4-5 That's 9 Raleigh-Egypt 0-0 Germantown 0-0 White Station 0-0 St. Benedict 0-0 St. Agnes 0-0 Houston 6-3 That's 9 Millington 0-0 Have you noticed when one scores 8, 9, 10, 18....... the other is 0. I think if you are going to hit double digits, you must let the other team have one or at least an own goal on yourself.
  17. Are you suggesting that I might need to cut back on the Kibbles??? Or I'm just one of those "BEWARE OF THE BIG DOG ON THE FRONT PORCH" kind??
  18. Is this the first sign Big G might share a pint with us sometime????
  19. St. Agnes 0 - St. Benedict 0 Good game. SBA played a tough game, was physical at times. Both keepers did a really good job. SAA missing some key players, but not making excuses. They will meet again soon and focus is on Houston now. At least SAA remains undefeated at this point. I think SOG were 11 to 9. Good match that could have gone either way.
  20. He said "dunkin" dog, not drunken dog!!!!!! I'm closer to the latter breed.
  21. Totally understand. I just found it bazaar!!!!!!! It's hard to watch ignorance and not get caught up with the bad calls. I will make sure I have 2 rolls of tape for future games and a disguise.
