Thanks. Believe me we are fully aware of the fact that Westview is the High School that has produced two Number one draft picks in the NFL. (Martin must be full of Green Bay fans) At JCS we are still looking for our first player to go to a D-1 college. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. JCS has for Westview from top to bottom. Have a safe trip to Jackson Friday night. All JCS fans are nervously excited about the game finally getting here. I think everyone's tired of talking about how competitive/uncompetitive JCS is going to be in 2-A. We are just ready for it to get here. The players feel the same. Obviously I hope that those who pick a closer game are right but I think we are all kind of prepared and won't be surprised by any of the scenarios listed. My son is a senior and I would like for his memories of his senior year to be good. I'm not expecting them to be as good as his junior year but I hope they are not a complete nightmare.

Where did you hear that? I will assure you there is NOT A COACH from JCS talking about being winners in 2a, they didn't even talk about winning 1a last year. Check all these message boards and see how many JCS coaches, fans, or players are talking smack... (Every team has one or two clueless people) No one is talking playoffs other than the usual high hopes that every school in the state has at the beginning of the year. (Even Red Boiling Springs has a thread in here) I'll tell you what I've heard from the coaches this week if you want some insider information: "WESTVIEW IS BIG... WESTVIEW IS STRONG... WESTVIEW IS FAST... WESTVIEW IS BETTER THAN ANY TEAM WE FACED LAST YEAR INCLUDING SOUTHSIDE... WESTVIEW IS THE REAL DEAL..." Some people want to make it out that little ol' JCS is coming in all cocky and thinking they are going to kick everyone's butt in 2-A because they won 1-A. It just isn't true. I know that makes it more fun and people wish they were talking trash but they aren't. The coach has said, "we are going to try to do everything we can to be competitive in 2-A football." That's a long way from saying: "We're gonna be winners in 2-A." JCS didn't ask to be in 2-A and frankly we all know they don't belong in 2-A. But they are and so they are going to do everything they can to win. Every JCS fan is excited about the added exposure 2-A will give to our players but we are also frustrated that we have a "loaded" 1-A team in a region full of 2-A powerhouses. And that's the truth. No one will come into a game with more respect for their opponents than JCS. They will also come in ready to give it their very best.

Well, I guess all the JCS fans have left or gone to bed. I got to do the same... Wish I could meet you fellers you all seem very nice... well, let's just say I'd like to meet you... (lol) No predictions for the game. (I know you FCS fans will have a field day with that one...) But I will tell you my sincere wish... My desire is that every man in Green and Blue play to the best of their ability. In fact that every man play the game of his life... No mistakes... Just perfect... Championship football that everyone will talk about for years to come... I've got a son playing in this here game and I'm ecstatic that he gets the opportunity. What a dream! Since I've got a son I can relate to every dad in Blue and Green... I can also relate to every son in Blue and Green... I don't want any Dad (Blue or Green) to have to comfort his son from a fatal mistake that he thinks cost his team the championship. I don't want any son to think woulda, coulda, shoulda... Now, I know there are going to be some fathers comforting their sons because both teams won't win... But I hope that the only comforting that has to be done is from a loss after giving everything they had... Okay, I'm starting to sound like a mother I know... I pray that no one gets hurt... Good sportsmanship---oh, we are playing the Campbellite Cup I can call it what it really is--- "CHRISTLIKENESS[/b]" prevails! HAVE A SAFE TRIP FCS FANS! GOOD LUCK COMMANDERS! GO EAGLES! I'm still lost... But they ain't no smack come from these here parts... At least not from volsken... i was just responded to them all talking about needing to hit somebody they were so fired up... They talked about hitting each other cause they weren't no jcs folks on line... so i got on line so they's could hit me... weren't even talking about the game... just trying to relieve some fired up fans!!!

Strange things afoot tonight! My boy is in bed asleep... That is a newsflash around these parts. Reports like this are popping up all over Eagle Land... Dad's can't sleep from the nerves but the boys are focused! There must be a FOOTBALL GAME TOMORROW! Whew... Reading the Green Nation's posts and witnessing what I've seen tonight in Eagle Country... I'd say tomorrows championship has two of the most focused teams that have ever played! WHO SAYS GOODPASTURE-LIPSCOMB IS THE CAMPBELLITE CUP! THIS ONE IS THE ONE... FOR ALL THE MARBLES AND THE BOYS IN GREEN AND BLUE KNOW IT! I LOVE IT! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

News from the West Boys... It's a coming through!!! I live in North Madison county on the Gibson County line---almost Humboldt---The tempature has already dropped to 54 with winds at 25 mph... Sounds like a freight train outside... My dogs are not happy... I don't like it when they act that way... It is still 68 in Jackson---8 miles south... This is some weird stuff!!! I think since it comes from the west it must be the BLUE FOG... 4:13 GO EAGLES!

In 24 hours... come rain or snow or sleet or... we will be watching some football in the "Boro!" YYEEEHHHHAAAA!!!! GO EAGLES! 4:13!

I think this could be said of FCS as well. The teams that make it this far are the teams which can get you from any/every direction. That's what makes this so fun... Who is going to step up tomorrow? Possumtowner---I'm so hurt... The "Campbellite Cup" was my idea. It took me a lot of figerin to come up with that! JaxMan's a great guy but not that original. (Playing with you JaxMan)

Good Morning from Jackson everyone! Just a little over 24 hours from game time! I don't know about you FCS fans but I'm already wondering what I'm going to do with myself on Saturday... This is your first team to make it to the finals isn't it? I know you guys have been on the verge for a while... Are people not able to reason and look at the fact that every school is different and you can't just bunch them all up? My son went to a 5-A Public school in another state last year. (He wasn't recruited) My daughter went to a private school. We've always had to work harder for funds at private schools. People act like the money just grows on trees. We've got to pay tuition for crying out loud! And I gladly sacrifice for the CHRISTIAN EDUCATION. Not trying to get the debate started especially since we are on the same side. But it just looks like common sense was abandoned by some of the arguments that were being made. What's the latest on the weather Friday? Since it changes every 30 minutes? 4:13!

The JCS team that played DCA wouldn't have made it past the first round of the playoffs. JCS is at least 3-4 touchdowns better than the team that suited up "week zero." We were missing our middle linebacker and we had a completely different offensive scheme. 4:13!

Gifts like banners that say, "so and so says BRING THE GOLD BALL BACK TO WEST TENNESSEE" "SO AND SO SAYS "GO EAGLES!"

I think being the only representative from West Tennessee has alleviated that debate. Being new to West Tennessee I'll have to say I'm very impressed with how united everyone is... I think West Tennessee pride is greater than the Private/Public School debate... We've never felt so much support. We've had coaching staffs, cheerleaders, players from other West Tennessee teams visiting our boys and giving them gifts. I mean think about it. 10 teams in championships. 1 team from West Tennessee. I think it's been genuine. Hopefully, nothing was poisoned. No just kidding. I know it wasn't.

Busted... Yeah, I think we graduated the same year. If not I was probably a year ahead of him... Yeah, I kinda lost touch with him. We've been out of Tennessee until this year... What a great year to move... State Championship Game!

FRIENDSHIPFAN I didn't mean to leave you out. I saw Possumtown in the post and thought it was from Possumtowner... Like to meet you too... It's been a lot more fun to watch this whole private-public debate than to get involved in it... Yeah, I guess that makes me a chicken...

I tell you what I might take you up on that invitation. It will be under much friendlier circumstances... I'll certainly be on the "Green" side that game! We'll be mourning the transfer to 2-A next year... I'd kinda like to meet Possumtowner anyway... I've enjoyed this... I've been wondering if I know any of you guys from college. I'm sure I know some parents... I know I went to school with Marcum's paw... I'm sorry to hear about his injury... He's a really young un isn't he?

I think you are right. I know some officials have taken them up. One game I can remember them getting through. But these FCS fans got me wondering about that horn... Wish I could here it once... Only once though.
