  1. Notre Dame 0 GPS 0 Notre Dame is lucky to come away with a tie. GPS dominated the field of play, won 75 to 80% of all 50-50 balls and GPS out shot ND 9 to 2. The defense from ND played tough and hung in there. GPS had 11 corners to ND's 1. GPS defense played extremely well as they were well organized all night long. ND had a little luck of the Irish tonight and live to fight another day. ND plays at Baylor next Thursday @ 7:00 but they are going to have to pick up the pace if they are to be competitive with Baylor.
  2. Baylor beat Hixson tonight (5-0) and goes to 11-0-1 St Agnes is 11-0-0 Notre Dame beats CCS tonight (1-0) and goes to 10-0-1
  3. Notre Dame 1 CCS 0 Tied at half and pretty evenly played. CCS came out fired up and had some chances in the first half to score. Second half the momentum swung in favor of Notre Dame and they popped one in from Kris Cambron mid way through the half. Hard fought game (and physical) by both teams, the best I've seen from CCS this year. ND survives and has GPS Thursday.
  4. They certainly look to be the favorite at this point. However Baylor seems to be getting stronger as the season goes on as noted by their wins over Siegel 4-0 and Gtown Houston 3-0 in the Colliersville Tourney. It should be a great matchup especially if they meet in the finals.
  5. You can check out each teams record online (for 2006) but as far as rankings are concerned they still show 2005. Go to the icons on bottom left of page once you are in the Tennessee state section and see if that works for team records. I have e-mailed them to ask about current statewide or rankings by divisions.
  6. CCS 0 GPS 0 Evenly played game in the first half with each team having some soring opportunities. 2nd half dominated by GPS. Unofficially 8 to 10 shots on goal for GPS vs 0 for CCS(at least none that I can recall). Light rain all game long and the field got muddy as the game wore on. A rocket shot from Ally Scales (GPS) from about the 18, and a great diving save by CCS keeper Leah Wilson (2nd half)
  7. Notre Dame's back four anchored by Maggie Lynskey are extremely tough and fast. They play anywhere from a 6 to 8 player rotation and have given up 3 goals in 9 games. They have posted 7 shutouts (6 in a row) and have played some of the toughest schools in the state.
  8. I saw the Bearden vs CCS game.Bearden looked very good and dominated the entire game. Lots of talent on that team! Bearden vs Notre Dame would have made for a interesting final, don't you think???
  9. Notre Dame won the Gold divsion title vs Bradley Central 7-0 vs Shelbyville 4-0 vs Maryville 2-0
  10. CCS tourney semi finals CCS 2 McMinn County 0 Bearden 7 Science Hill 0 Finals @ 5:00 Notre Dame 4 Shelbyville 0 Maryville 1 Centennial 0 Finals @ 7:00
  11. I as not there but a reliable source tells me Bearden won 2-1
  12. I really appreciate all you do for (girls) soccer fans! I look forward to your insight and especially your rankings. I hope you get a chance to check out the Lady Irish of Notre Dame before the year is out. They have some really talented players and would love to see how they would rank with the state's best. Hope to see you in Chattanooga.
  13. I also need to mention that Notre Dame's goalie Carly Manning has been sensational so far this year,
  14. Some Notre Dame stats through 6 games Record 5-0-1 Goals scored for 16 against 3 9 diiferent players have scored 4 shutouts As strong a back line as I have seen and an extremely balanced scoring attack Teams played Swetwater,ECS,Centennial,FRA,Father Ryan,Hutcheson I know its early and anything can happen but I like our chances right now.
  15. Baylor Tournament Father Ryan 3 GPS 0
