Need to add some stuff. Grace has some unique and good facilities to play a game at. They played hard and are a team that has some good players. They must realize that there were a lot of angry S.P. people because of the officiating. I heard about the kid getting kicked out because of his orthadontical mouth-peice and if that is true then the offending ref should be ashamed, just ashamed because this would mean S.P. loses a player for the MC game because of.... well there really can't be any because here because it is a disgrace. Grace fans and players need to keep working and represent the region well. Good luck...

The score should read.... S.P. 54 Refs 28 and Grace 7 These refs lost control of the game early on. They were a disgrace to the game of football. The association should get rid of these hacks. Notice we were not on the bad end of a close game that had a questionable call. It was that this game was nothing more than a flag fest with tons of needless personal foul penalties. I think one of those guys went for a red card at one time... Thank goodness we won't have these sorry excuses for zebras for the MC game or I have a feeling it would result in a brawl...These "men" didn't have any control of a game that wasn't even that heated, and started throwing flags galore to try to prove something. Anyone at the game knows that they proved that they were morons. Sorry to be blunt but it is true. The coaches, players, and fans of highschool football deserve better than these sorry excuses for "professionals".

Well when S.P. gets to the play offs they will gradually through the first three rounds go up in the difficulty of who they play. Each team will be pretty good, and then it will actually drop off. It will help them a lot more than Friendship who will likely play the likes of grace and then watertown or whoever. It will all depend on which team peaks at the right time. I think the Jasper game will be a good one, but Temple will not have the strength to beat S.P. up front where it will count in a game between two teams with athletes.

If LV can get Scruggs going then I think that the Jackets can pull out a close one. I don't know if the Jackets can stop the big back of Whitwell but they will also score. 28-21 LV

Here's the problem... SP's scorers... Robert Robinson had 4 TD's in first half.. none in second.... the rest were scored by sophomores.... so that means half of our points in the last game were scored by sophomores..oh my bad there's one junior that didn't play last year that scored as well... and if memory serves we didn't have a single pass thrown into the end zone this season in the second half... but I'm not sure.... tell me of any exceptions... if anyone knows of any

If you have seen S.P. play then you would know that passing is the way that S.P. usually keeps from scoring a lot more points, but they need to work on it at points in the game when there is not a big doubt. All a lesser team needs in the first quarter is a big interception return for a TD to get a lot of momentum on their side. That being said... against copper Basin S.P. had only one starter play many snaps at all the entire second half. S.P. played poorly and still won handily. How did Coalfield score their 50+ points against Copper Basin... my guess if they could have beaten their other opponents by 50 + they would have, but can't so stop hating... or silky johnson will have to put you in your place

Silverdale Seahawks will lose by 35 to a team with good speed and discipline for a small team. On the note of recruiting... all recruiting does is let everyone know that the coaches know they can't win without cheating, and then it makes it that much sweeter when the public schools out-scheme, out-work, and out-play teams that should win because of their cheating ways. I am not making any accusations but stating my honest opinion of when schools knowingly do so. This is how rivalries get started. After all before Akins took over at Boyd, S.P. owned the Bucs on a yearly basis and beat them by 60 like the rest of their region foes. Regardless of whether Akins recruited the players or not(I am guessing every Marion county team would have an opinion on this) the fact that home grown kids played for Boyd made it a rivalry.

Here are some fun facts for those of you who think SP runs the score up. Copper basin Could have been much worse if coach had wanted it to be, and bledsoe well paybacks are what they are(don't wet the field again), Boyd(not a runaway), Greenback was the first game of the season and no pirate scored in the final quarter and the second string tailback or third if you want to include david jones(didn't play) had two touches and two touchdowns, and lookout valley S.P. could have done much worse but I bet you could ask a lookout valley person and they would tell you that L.V. helped that score be the way it was. S.P. needs to play the starters three quarters at least in order to have a team physically ready to play deep into the playoffs. Playing only one or two quarters will not allow this to happen. Next point, Coalfield will get beat by the winner of the Frienship and S.P. game. That game will actually be the state game, and It should be treated as such. The only way that the winner of that game will not win state will be if there are 6 turnovers against coalfield or hampton or whoever else it is. Mark it down coalfield doesn't want any of S.P. or Friendship.

Last year South Pittsburg came out a little flat against this Grace team and still handled them pretty well. My prediction is that S.P. will score in the 50-60 range, and Grace will score 14 at the most. Also where does Grace play their homegames? What are everyone elses thoughts on this game?

and yada yada yada... they ain't playin grace this week, the tigers get more stripes from the warriors Marion will spread whitwell out and kill them with short gains all night long leading to big scores when the marion players take those short passes for big gains a la Meachem and poor whitwell tackling Marion by 21...

Marion will win this one by 21 is my prediction. Slick Rick, why the hate? Why you crackin on the bear? I guess since you're not a gator you're gator bait. Some times it seems that a loss can have a very positive effect on a team, and Tyner will use the loss to Brainerd to refocus on the true goal of winning the region. That first step will be taken in Jasper on Friday.

Why was my post edited... I didn't say anything bad! last I checked what I put was pretty commonly used to explain gaining a lot of yards...oh well... I'll say it again, the Ram train will GAIN a lot of yards against the warriors...

There'll be a train wistle blowing, but it won't be the big purple one. The ram train matches up well with Marion, and will @@@@ up a lot of yards. This game will be won by the Ram Linebackers who will pick off the Marion Short pass and keep the QB in check. Then the Ram o and d line will take over in the second half. new prediction after rethinking a bit, Rams 35 Warriors 7 choo choo the Ram Train is Coming... and is definately not off of its tracks
