the weight program should help the team out as more players come along that have been through it. strength doesn't make a football player thats a natural thing, but if you are a ballplayer it certainly helps you out a lot. maybe this program is on the rise, but its still gonna take some time for them to get where they want to be.

i dont know if york and jackson will come out and lift or not. i really kinda doubt it. Did cannon not have a weigth program before coach barger came to the program?

yes they are gonne be pretty strong, but not as strong as last year i dont think. i think your right bout upperman they will be a big surprise to everyone. im not sold on canon yet but wish them the best of luck.

yes we lost a lot of good experienced players a lot of them that started for three years. i myself am one of those players. i know what we have coming up man a lot of good friends on that team. they will be competitive this year and will definitely win more than two games. come on man give me a break you know better than that.

i'll have to correct ya on that westmoreland won last year. they were small but very strong. they have some strength this year but i see smith winning it.

yea they are down a lot, 10 of the seniors that left were on the all-region team, and i know several were on the all-county team also.

i totallly agree cannon county will continue to struggle every year until a drastic change takes place over there. the program has been down for a long time and will stay that way. i also wish them the best of luck but theres no way they can compete with teams like york, upperman, smith, and westmoreland in this region. sorry boys thats just the way i see it.

westmoreland did lose a lot at the skill position. they lost their QB- Madison, 2 starting RB's the 2 Rippy boys, and their star WR Kowalski. we'll have to see if anyone steps to fill these big shoes. this is certainly a rebuilding year as westmoreland lost almost all of its starters.

I see that everyone is putting westmoreland down there in a pretty low spot. I know their losing a lot in those seniors they had like the two rippys, madison, and kowalski just to name a few. Do you think the loss of those experienced players will hurt them that much?

westmorelands non-region games are with DCA, Macon County, Gordonsville, East Robertson, and Allen County- KY

no thats what high school fotball is all about, it was a great atmosphere. i actually had a lot of fun with the guys in the corner of the endzone it was fun playin around with them

Great game as u all know. SC has a very good football team and a bunch of good ole boys and it showed last nite. WM has nothing to be ashamed of considering this group of seniors was 0-7 in middle school. its rained over 2 1/2 inches here in westmoreland the field is wet very wet

trust me the field will be a swamp. its going to be a sloppy game.. i work at the middle school which overlooks the field and it looks to be very wet. i think its wet natured anyway water stands on it when it rains and with the forecast going to be cloudy i dont see it drying up very much. after tomorrow night it'll be tore all to pieces.

why do you think westmoreland has showed bad sportsmanship anyways. who on the team has done it? what are u talkin about fox horns for i haven't seen one of those in years.

theres all kinds of portable bleachers that were moved in for the last game they can use those seats. there will be standing room only at the game.its the only game in the area around here.no the home team won't swap sides. i wouldn't give SC all the crap they could eat much less our stands.the westmoreland fans will fill them up I guess SC will just have to stand up like a lot of westmoreland fans will do if theres not enough seats.

i dont think SC will open anything on westmoreland i think it will be a very close low scoring game, no blow outs here no cans of WA will be opened.hopefully westmoreland will pull it out in another close one.Guess we'll see friday in what will be a great game at westmoreland.I think the atmosphere will be great i look for a huge crowd probly the biggest that has ever been at westmoreland as this will be the biggest game ever played there.

i do believe the 95 team was put out in the third round if i'm not mistaken. they were awesome though, probly better than this team but not by much.

hey man im getting just about tired of hearing your bullcrap.westmoreland actually had more penalties than you did. they had personal fouls out the butt. quit makin excuses tired of hearin it. just face the facts buddy you got beat, westmoreland has the better team. they didn't even play that well last night and still won. u guys never really put a drive together u scored twice on big plays. we'll be playin next week and yall wont' we ended your season my friend, sent the payne train back to jamestown, and i'm sure it was a painful ride home. so u should come out next week to watch the boys play again it'll be a great game
