Does the administrative staff support the football program at jackson county or do they just want to let it fade. Coach Thaxton is a fine coachdo they give him any money for facilities. Where is the field house the administration said was going to be built, where the weight room facility. How can you keep up with any team in football if you don't have the facilities to produce a winner. I don't guess the admininistration wants a coach who can win more than 3-5 games a year. I was at a football game friday, Jackson co. at Cannon Co. and thought the conduct of Jackson Counties principal was very demeaning to their head coach. They look like they have a good group of kids but the leadership from the administrative staff showed on the field by getting unsportsmanlike penalties. You reap what you sow. He displayed conduct that was detrimental to the team and jackson co. went home with a loss. Sometimes you just have to play the game and quit worrying about the way the game is called. This man should apologize to the coaching staff and players maybe they should look for new leadership.

Jackson County's Coach Jerome Taylor resigned. Wonder who will be the front runner for the job.

Robert Netherton was a stud when he was in high school. His fastball was explosive, and was really primed to be drafted out of high school. To bad that some decisions can ruin a fine future in baseball. Greg Stewart, John and Freddie McMleanon, Steve Hawkins, Robert Thompson were all great baseball players for the Cavaliers.

I just want to say that the blue devils showed that heart can conquer a lot. The team kept battling, and finally pulled a win. Hopefully this win will kick start into something big. Way to go big blue.

Jackson County's Marissa Hensley. Last week she broke the 1,000 plateau aganist Lawrence County. She has also help the lady blue devils to three state championships. No junior in the entire state of tennessee can say that in all three classes. Public or Private.

In the Tennessean newspaper last week, I believed that the paper quoted a sum of money that was cleared at the first round of the playoffs. I can't remember the figure, but I know it was extremely high. The TSSAA got 50% of that figure again I just thank that the two teams playing each other should get a little more than they are receiving.
