last year in the 3rd round of the playoffs milan and huntington played at paul ward stadium. As always between these two teams it was a hard fought game and milan was ahead by a 21-17 margin with time winding down. huntingdon drove the ball to milans 40 or 35. On the ensuing third down play huntingdon lined up with 6 down linemen, three backs in the backfield, and a trips set. For those of you who may be from hundingdon and are mathematically challenged, that makes twelve. Our coaches started yelling as soon as they took the field but the refs couldnt count either. crocker droped back and one of milan's linemen came unblocked. he started towards crocker but that extra man picked him up for just long enough for crocker to scramble and throw a bomb to an open receiver to go ahead by 3. I would advise not arguing with any of these facts because i was on the team i saw the play and ive watched the film 800 times. Huntington lost to goodpasture the next week cuz they just let them use 11.

c'mone somebody tell me about how they think im lying yall were doing some real good defending of a misrable excuse for a football player go ahead use the"liar, liar" excuse. i challenge anyone to get a copy of that film and tell me that was a clean hit. You won't be able to. I wish that instead of trying to avoid the issue and telling us to "get over it" somebody would have the tenacity to step up and do somthing about this. Im sure there is someone associated with usj who has a little leverage, be it parents or just someone who is associated with the school system. if enough people say somthing then maybe somthing will get done, but until then a wonderfull person and one heck of a player is going to be sitting on the sidelines leaning on crutches for the rest of his senior year, and no one has answered for the way it happened. Surley somebody who is in a position to step up will have the integrity to do so. There is no excuse for what happened and it should not be allowed to continue.

No there werent any racial slurs coming from milan, milans team ratio of white to black players is almost even, so why would a milan player insult half of his own team? And as for the "isolated questionable play" it was isolated to what ever eleven players usj had on the field at any time. There was a milan baseball coach holding the chains on the visitor's side friday and when the kid got ejected from the game for his second malace, unsportsman like conduct flag the usj head coach patted him on the back. oh yeah thats some firm dealin' with!

Alred didn't even have the ball so what was the point in hitting him low. In my experience with football, if you take out a 220 pound fullback and he falls on you your probably arent going to make a tackle on who ever has the ball so just what was the purpose of hitting him in the knee???

In a post earlier this season, i made a statement that said that Humboldt exhibited the worst sportsmanship i had ever seen. I would like to formally and publicly retract that statement and apologize to Humboldt. In friday nite's game between milan and usj, i witnessed what was by far the worst, inexcusable display of blatant cheap shots, intentional eye gouges, and kicks to areas that were off limits even in elementary school fights. In a play in the fourth quarter when the score was 27-0 with no time left to mount a comeback, i watched one of my best friends go to the ground, screaming with pain, after a usj defensive player went out of his way to dive at his knees when neither of the two were a major part of the play. My friend didnt have the ball and the usj defender wasn’t even his man to block. Several people on the field reported hearing firsthand the usj players stating, "we finally got you!" Now this was just one of many events that took place on the field. The before mentioned events as well as plenty of racial slurs were also predominant throughout the game. I hope this thread is not closed. Im not trying to instigate anything, at least not here, i just want to expose the wrongdoing that was allowed by both usj's coaches and the officials. Something should be done about this. High school players only have four years to play and to attempt to take someone's senior season in week #4, at a point in the game when usj couldn't possibly win is unspeakable. My friend, Alred, is trying to schedule an MRI for tomorrow, Monday the 17th. Any prayers would appreciated.

Im not saying there are no players who ever came through milan that exibited poor sportsmanship. Im just saying that overall milan is a very well respected program and MOST of the players play with class. I'd say that if one occasion of a player from milan talking trash publicly is all you can think of, that aint bad. One thing about it though, what trash milan does talk, they back up.

Im not nessicarly trying to put down humbolt. If i was it would be simply because i've played games against them personally, and they displayed the worst sportsmanship i've ever witnessed. Not major, penalty drawing stuff, just dirty play and a lot of trash talking. I do, however, give credit where credit is due. Yall have a good team this year and Donald is the real deal. I don't know if he runs better than C. Donald but its close. Yall played great against lexington and true they did have an undefeated regular season last year. I think it was their first one ever. To say "are you crazy?" however, over a comment about Milan and Huntington beating Humbolt in the region, might be just a little bit of an over exaggeration, we'll find out week six though. as for this week... Humbolt by at least 3 tds. as for week six, lets get thru four and five first. Yall play safe, and try to keep it clean.

I think you might be getting just a little ahead of yourself. I'll give you props yall played well against Lexington, but lets be realistic, if beating one decent team is all you have to brag about i'd wait till after week six to start my braging about the milan game. Milan started subing second string in during the first half last week against a team that went to murfreesburo last year. We were up by 4 tds before the second quarter. And no i wont give up a chance to watch milan crush USJ at Jonnie Hale friday in order to watch yall play trenton. our JV team could beat them so try not to get too excited if yall get lucky and win.
