With boyd gone s. pitt should roll through the region easy b/c of expereince and talent but dont expect much of a run in the playoffs.

South Pittsburg will not be in too bad a shape. Mathews is back after being out a year as QB I think he can handle it and Walker is back after being out a year to carry the ball I know he can handle that. So with all the rest I think they will be ready.

Im goin w/ this:

 

1. Temple - Good players returning and also getting a couple of new players. 

 

2/3. Could go either way with Whitwell or South Pitt. Whitwell lose most of there skill position players and lineman. South Pitt lost there QB/DB enough said. I think they will battle it out last game of the season for 2nd place.

 

4/5/6. Copper Basin/Grace/ Lookout Valley- Copper Basin and LV losing some senior will hurt them. Grace I heard has a new QB and I believe will prob. make it to the playoffs in my opinion.

 

7. Silverdale will take there lumps this year, but maybe in a couple of years they will have a successful football club.

 

* To all the people from the other school that are gonna get all worked up when you see this- I am from Temple so of course I have a bias for my school. so dont think im putting anybody down or anything, this is just my prediction.

How good is Matthews and Walker now? I played against them in 8th grade and they were pretty good. I know Matthews likes to run but can he pass good also? We all know that Walkers good. But will SP have a line to run block for him? I remember hearing this past year that there line was there weakness.

The Sequatchie Valley Jamboree is at Sequatchie Co. this year and South Pittsburg, Whitwell & Lookout Valley are usually in it along with Marion, Grundy & Bledsoe County.  Not sure if Temple, Grace & Silverdale attend any jamboree?

 

I think they have been a having a jamboree for some Chattanooga teams at Tyner the last couple of years. 

 

Didn't Temple play in one somewhere in Chattanooga last fall?

He didnt play in a jamboree this past year since we didnt play in the region. We just scrimmage Howard a couple of times.

Heres my opinion:  Temple wins it.  Whitwell lost there QB,FB,RB.  South Pitt lost alot of lineman but still have Robinson even though i dont think they have anyone that will be able to throw it to him.  Just my opinion.

We are losing some key players, but the boys coming up are just as good if not better. I think the region standings will be:

1. Whitwell

2. South Pittsburgh

3. Copper Basin/Temple

5. Lookout Valley

6. Grace

7. Silverdale

I really dont know if there gonna be better or worse. But its gonna be hard to replace the fullback. he was a good runner/blocker on offense and good LB on defense. The QB when he ran it was a good runner along w/ the #21 runningback. I think the line lost some starters. #55 was a good player on the line. I kinda see them not being as good bc of losing those players.

Whitwell also lost a four year letterman at center/dt , a three year letterman at guard/De and all of the all but one of the secondary. A lot of kids will have to step up.

Who is taking over the skill positions at Whitwell? and if the people taking over those positions arent as good as last year, how do you expect to win the region?
