65-50 We handled our business I didnt think McEwen was to respectful of our players and neither were the fans. Hopefully when we play at McEwen this year we wont have to be escorted to our bus and fans to their cars. Just like I said you guys are nothing without Puckett you stand in 2nd to last in the district.

Respect....you are talking about respect.....I recall a mouthing "T" and a stomp on one of McEwen's players, and I read lips..."u guys" need to watch your mouths. Respect...I wonder if you know what that means?

How can u expect mcewen to respect ur players when u stop on one of our players and if im thinkin correctly that player was ejected from the game but i may be wrong...every call that went against the patriots, though there were few that did, all the heritage players did was complain like a bunch of girls...they looked like a bunch of jr. high kids...i guess thats what u get when u play a private school with a bunch of rich kids...oh and soo we are nothin without puckett....i think u guys got beat pretty badly by nashville christian....well mcewen gave nashville christian the business tuesday night and i dont look for them to ease up on heritage just because heritage beat mcewen at their place...but we will see tommorrow night...it should be a good one to watch...

Ok first off were not a private school with a bunch of rich kids. (were not a private school!) And no one was ejected from the game, we had one player foul out that was it. And the player was trying to get his foot away from someone who was trying to break his ankle. Nashville Christian whooped us? they beat us by 2 on a last second shot. Look at the district standings and you will see you have no room to talk.

I'm never surprised at the mature responses from the McEwen fans. Who is showing no class here? Did your fans have to be escorted to their cars by the police when you came to Heritage? No, but Heritage fans had police escorts because of the mature fans at McEwen. And exactly what is "the business"? Grow up.

Jo Byrns fans and especially students are the worst group of hillbilly, redneck, people I have ever seen. Plus their Principal sits right there by them and lets them css and demean players. Mckuen comes in a close second and are by far the dirtiest playing team I have ever watched. Their Coach is way in over his head. The only thing worse than their boys basketball is their girl's basketball. It is easy to hate Heritage tho I agree they are very arrogant and they lose some easy games because they are not committed to excellence and really don't work very hard. They run on natural ability only. That don't get you very far come tournament time.

McEwen's players and fans are rediculous. For the second year in a row now a fan has done something to one of our players. Last year Jared Hill went into the stands chasing a loose ball and a fan hit him in the back of the head. This year during warm ups a ball went to the bleachers and a fan picked it up and threw it at one of our players htting him in the back. This year they actually did something by ejecting the fan from the game unlike last year. McEwen in no way can talk about anyone being disrespectful.

I was at this game. I didn't see anyone ejected and furthermore....as I said before, your players play dirty....I have never seen such disrespect for other people as your players and coach. I do understand where it comes from...the coach allows it to happen....cheap shots (elbows to the face..etc...) Don't play dirty. Try to win without the cheap shots.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
