A question for the board. Is it a school's or the coach's responsibility to see that a team is ready for the season? What would most of the kids and parents say to a coach having NO off season workouts, No week of practice of the 13th of feb, NO practice on or games on friday, ONLY 2 non district games and NO tournaments.

Sounds like last year. Only practice was a joke all the time and several of the few games that were scheduled were canceled (coach had more important things to do like attend car shows). For the most part administrations could care less about softball after all it is just girls. Doesn't matter what the players/parents think or say. Three different coaches in three years including one that didn't last an entire season. All we can do is hope that this year (another new coach) will be better.

Yes, it's the coach's job to schedule practices, scrimmages, and ball-games. The adminstration has no control over who they play, or when they practice. At the 1st of Feb. is when Pitchers/Catchers can start but every where else is Feb 13th for the rest of them.
