If one is able to talk then they are able to say that they are the #1 fan of MJ.

I presume that you are looking for an award, recognition, Bozo button, etc......

Maybe you should contact the local newspaper, I here your sports editor does a weekly column on opinionated jargon.

Personally, the #1 fan status is irrelevant. Stick to MJ basketball.

Read the post. All I did was sign as Mt. Juliet's #1 fan. You can have the Bozo button.

I am a fan of the Lady Bears.

I am greatful MJ has a fan as loyal as you are Bates to drive the distance you do to attend the games.

One thing we all have as fans is a passion for the game and the success for the Lady Bears program.

I also have attended every game the Lady Bears have ever played in the State Tournament. From 1977 all the way to 2005.

All I'll say now is... see you at the game Tuesday nite against Hendersonville which will hopefully be Number 60 in a row at the Cave.

Agreed, as CoachT might say, let's move on...

FYI for Bear fans, unscientific as it is, some aggregate stats as reported to the Tennessean (through 21 games) for the starters:

Player Pts Avg. 3 pt's

KC Van Atta 17 73

Jordan Nixon 16.9 1 (and it was a great one vs WC)

Heather Miller 9.6 0

Becca Sharpe 7.5 18

Miaca Bowman 5.9 (climbing!) 10

Taylor Hall (until injury) 12.1 29

Would love to hear Rebound and Assist numbers from somebody!

Is there any resource for 9AAA team/individual stats?

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
