Prep hoops: Clarksville takes Great 8 crown

Caldwell scores all four points in overtime for Wildcats

Clarksville's Tyrone Caldwell scored a game-high 19 points — including all four in overtime — as the Wildcats captured the first-ever Venture Express Great 8 Holiday Tournament title Saturday at Riverdale.

Clarksville overcame a double-digit deficit to tie the game at the buzzer on Caldwell's runner at the buzzer.

Tim Peete scored 16 points — including 10 in the first quarter — for the Warriors.

After trailing 20-11 at the end of the first quarter, Clarksville cuf the deficit to just two at the half. The Wildcats outscored Central 16-6 over the final period and overtime.
