GradfromtheNest
Ok, we've got Central, Ooltewah, Red Bank, and Soddy Daisy. This district always has its favorites, and then in the end it never matters. I see this as a three-way battle between Red Bank, Soddy, and Ooltewah. Central could be the spoiler if they have a good game on the right day! Coach Garland at Soddy always talks his guys down, but always ends up with one of the better teams. Massey at Ooltewah lost some key players, but have a lot of young talent. Red Bank is going to have some good pitching, but can they score runs? I could say more to stir the pot even more, but I wont for now! Let's hear it! Results on opening day.: Ooltewah 16, Grace 2 Baylor 16, Soddy Daisy 2 (Soddy wore the wrong jersey) Red Bank 7, Ringgold 5 Hixson 5, Central
catsbackr
From what I've seen so far, Ooltewah, Red Bank, Soddy Daisy, then Central. I saw Red Bank last night, their defense was awful, just awful. It's early and I'm sure they'll get better, but I was shocked at their defense. I've seen Ooltewah 2 times and they are pretty solid. I'll see Soddy Daisy Saturday, weather permitting.
MSM34
Ooltewah is off to a solid start. We're 2-1. we beat a solid Northwest Whitfield team last nigvht 9-0. they're only flawed seemed to be pitching, although they did have alot of it. Garrett Baugh pitched excellent last night. Complete Game Shutout. no sure on how many hits but no more than 5. We're off to a great start. Any other Updates? i know Red Bank was suprised by cleveland the other night. Anything else? JuanUribe
Soddy Daisy needs to play better defense than what they showed in the Wildcat Classsic. Red Bank needs to hit better. Central is too young to challenge in this district. Ooltewah may surprise everyone in the end.
