OS91
Just as I predicted, Coach Tonya Lively-Snyder's talented crew would make some noise in the region tournament. There were a lot of naysayers who doubted Clinton this year even though they beat Oliver Springs, Farragut, Powell, West, and a couple other good teams. With Clinton beating an outstanding Heritage team tonight, this should eradicate nayayers downgrading Clinton's remarkable ascension into one of East Tennessee's best teams. Clinton plays Powell next week to see who takes another possible step toward Mboro. Congrats to Clinton and Coach Snyder on an oustanding season with the chance to make it a special season. wcfields
Great Job! Clinton is an excellent team. They simply have the misfortune of playing in the same district with Oak Ridge. There is a good chance Clinton and OR will meet again next week. Clinton (IMHO) is an overall better team than Powell and Oak Ridge is probably a better team than Bearden, despite the 6'4" and 6'2" girls inside for Bearden. If OR has overcome their internal "issues", look for a very good final with Clinton and OR III. A home sub-state game is on the line so it doesn't get anymore important than this. Congratulations Clinton and good luck. Best wishes to all the remaining teams, A, AA & AAA! Great posts folks.
