Long bus rides and even tougher region

And if the region isn't tough enough, look who's waiting from the flip side the pounce on you in the sub-state. In a nutshell, you need to be 3-4 deep in quality starters (I mean real top-flight pitchers). Two gems and piece the rest together won't hack it come post season in AAA.

Hum.....I think we can hold our own. Not saying we will move up and win it all, just saying we will definately work hard with the talent we have.....and we DO have talent! Still a lot of talent left after graduating 5 AWESOME Seniors this year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I know you have two very good freshmen. You must have at least one more preferably 2 more really good. Not good, I mean really good. It's just tough when you face some schools who can come up with 4 top notch starters out of a student body of 2,300 or more. Also, those kids have easier access to excellent summer teams such as the Tigers, Dulin's, APAC etc.

    • It's time to play everybody's favorite game of how is this season going to go. I'll undertake the fool's errand of a prediction. Encourage the region 2 fans to do the same. Cloudland: Top until they get beat always seem to perform year in year out with a small changing roster. Cosby, North Greene: These two could finish in either order they didn't have big senior classes. Lots of young guys got experience last season and most of their best athletes are upperclassmen it'll depend on coaching and if the kids can put it all together.  Jellico, Unaka: Like the two above could finish in either spot both of them lost key pieces to graduation. It'll depend on how returners play and if young guys can fill shoes.  Hancock: Small roster size devastated by a big senior class that took a lot of the experience and athleticism with them.
    • Confident that Marion, Moore, and Gordonsville are losses.  7-3 would be a nice turnaround.  5-5, 4-6, 3-7, etc. and it's a disappointment
    • Win the Watertown game, you can start 4-0. Lose it and you might be anywhere from 0-4 to 3-1.
