yes the chargers lost a lot of talent, but a lot of talent is still on the roster....don't count on a another 9 win season thanks to a very tough schedule....only test for central will be polk co, until seq steps up and proves they can be a contender in the district....toughest game of the year at alcoa in week nine....

I agree Central should still be very good. Heard a lot of good things about the new coaches. Alcoa is a tough stop for anybody.

they will win the district...but i just don't see them beating alcoa. mcminn will be tough, but i think they have mcminn's attention this year unlike past years....but i would say 7-3 is possible, but not likely...we will just have to wait and see....

Central will have a good team but when Polk County beats them this year. I know the Ugly Monster will show in some of the players. Polk would not get beat as bad. They don't have to play them till playoffs anyway. We won 7 in a row Central 2 Polk owns you. Cant even call it a rival till you all have caught up with us. Now thats not including Basketball,and Baseball We dont call it a rival You all kill us in them. Oh yea never been to Central Unless When I played for Polk.       Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.

      It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
