FootballDad
any predictions? Did I miss it or were there no threads about this game until the day of the game? Anyway, I believe Loudon will win this game by controlling the LOS, controlling the clock with the run game, and because they are the overall better team. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Scott make some noise with their passing game. They have a QB that is more effective and ellusive than he may physically appear. He's simply a playmaker and competitor. #86 is a nice target. Turnovers, penalties, and special teams always play an even bigger role in games with poor field conditions. Good luck and wishes for an injury free game for both teams. Loudon 28 Scott Co.
chief15
Would the referee that called that bounced td pass for Scott please come on here and explain why he called it a td. That had to be the worst call I have ever seen in football (that includes little league)...LOL What a joke that referee is..LOL Oh well Loudon still won though... In Kingston Friday night a Yellowjacket RB got stuck and fumbled the football while he was still standing up on both feet, then got covered up in a pile of defenders. CAK recovered and stood up holding the ball. None of the officials would make a call, so according to our players on the field (my son included), the Referee literally asked the Kingston RB if he was down or not before he fumbled. Of course he said he was, so they gave the ball to the Jackets! Same ref, called our fake extra point a dead ball when our holder caught the snap and tossed it back over his head to the kicker sprinting to the end zone. Ref said the holders knee was on the ground, yes it was and that is allowable under every level of football that I'm aware of. Then, a mugging of one of our receivers in the end zone so bad that the police should have been called, no flag. I'll stop crying , just like Loudon, CAK won the game too but some of these officials need to brush up on the rule book. Of course we have had some really good refs as well. I doubt it bounced cause i was on the fence line right beside it and there were two officials 10 feet around him and if it bounced then they would of called it. i dont see you you could of seen that play 100 yards away on the other side of the field. Im not just sayin it wasnt a catch just because im from scott. im 100% sure it was
chief15
I got to the game late and was actually in the end zone when that play happened and you could actually hear the ball hit and see the mud platter up (nice field by the way, great drain system too) then the Scott kid just smothered the football. The ref (whom you said was right there) didnt know what to call it and he asked the other official (whom was on Loudon's side of the field a 100 yards away) to call it and he said I think he caught it. After a few seconds they both just decided to call it a TD. A 9 1/2 yard pass for a 10 yard TD.
automatic
There was no catch by the Scott rec.Watched on film in slow motion.Obvious no catch. But that wasn't the worst call of the night. The td they took from Loudon on the passer being beyond the line of scrimmage was. The ball was on the five, the film showed he threw the ball from behind the six. Also, it was called by the white hat from behind the play.It was not a homer situation just not the best referee crew around. They did keep the game closer than it should have been.Oh well we're moving on!!
