DB is # 5 this week. Also, their record is listed as 19-0-1. Very Impressive record.

 

I think we will find out if they are for real when they play on Saturday in the sectionals.

 

 

 

 

I on the other hand, believe that the weak schedule played by DB will haunt them on Sat. Must be tested by quality competition during the season.

I'm more concerned with Thurs. night, the Region 1 final. Got to take them one at a time. Both of the first 2 games w/ Science Hill were 1-0 victories. S.H. is tough and will bring it to the Tribe. As to a weak schedule, most of the players play club ball and play in the Knoxville leagues and have competed well in that venue. The sectional game will be tough whom ever they play, but they will compete!!!!

District Tournament #1 MVP Greg Vogel went out in 1st half with vision problems and did not return to the DB line-up. Wish him a speedy recovery.... Alex Weaver had a very good game for "The HILL" created many chances...

Congratulations to Science Hill and Dobyns Bennett on representing Region #1 well in the sectionals. Both teams played well against Region #2. Bearden won 1-0 over the Hill and Farragut won 2-1 over DB. Its been a great season and it nothing to hang your head over, losing to #1 and #2 ranked teams. Good Luck moving forward into next season
