Henry county 2011 state championship

2 years ago my son and I watched the championship game between Powell and Henry county on TV. Henry county had a fan that constantly blew a very loud horn every time Powell had the ball. Is that something that we will have to endure this time? Does anyone remember that? Thanks

Yes he will be there and will have all his horns this time. He's blown those horns at every HC game since 2005, so this one for sure won't be any different.

Thanks guys. What is his purpose in doing this? To distract the opposing teams offense? And does anyone know what kind of horn or siren he is using? Thanks

He uses a pretty unique setup with a train horn, lights and sirens. It isn't necessarily to distract anyone, HC fans travel in packs of thousands and have a history of being extremely loud to motivate our team. While I find the horn to be entertaining, I agree the guy does pick some poor times to blow it.

For example, when HC scores next week or makes a big play all of Cookeville will hear that horn going off.
