Why wouldn't the second place team from the Region fill in? Would make much more sense than just leaving it open for a bye. But then again.......

Not sure how the infraction was discovered or if it was a protest, but if it was found after the event was final, tssaa has in their bylaws (article 3 section 14) the team event will be null and void and no one will fill the spot. The rule is for ineligible players. Seen it happen in baseball. Again I don't know this is how it unfolded. Then again tssaa can do whatever they want. Edited February 2, 2016 by TC56

Was called out after the finals match by a team not involved.  Would have probably came to light.  Not sure why there was a coaching change, the new coach is the business manager, who stepped in so that their season would not fold.  So he really had no idea what was going on.  Administration can be blamed, they should have called someone in Nashville as to what procedures to follow.  They have some good kids that will do well at individuals.  It is a shame.

Seams a little over the top. Let them compete but at their correct weight.take out the punishment on the correct people, not the kids. This leaves a bad scar on the kids and a coach just trying to help kids not lose a sport!
