Indy vs. Smyrna - should be one of best games of the week

Indy D can be had. Brentwood put up 20 (21 actually but the refs blew the call on the xp) and Centennial scored 21 and left points on the table. If Smyrna holds them to 21-24 points, they should win.

They made some adjustments after The BHS game

Against CHS they were up 31-14 with under 3 to play and they put thier 2nd unit of D in there

Held CHS running back to 56 yards

 

They need to get more pressure on QB's as still unsure in the CB's

 

But I agree Indy will need to be ready and would not be surprised if SHS wins but still think Indy takes it

The Bulldog defense got tested a bit with the two D1 prospects from LaVergne in their first contest of the season. Handled them pretty well. Don't know much about independence. I'm sure that they are the most talented team, on both sides of the ball, that we have seen so far.

Only worry I have is the Indy secondary

The wildcard is two way player Landon Guidry

Miss State commit whom is free safety and on offense makes for mismatch

Indy has a very good running back that transferred from a powerhouse Kentucky program

WR they are very talented and have the UT commit whom is a Sophomore

Hines the QB can sling it and has great arm but no where near the accuracy or command of Blades offense as bunch

Will be very good measuring stick for both clubs and anxious to see the outcome

It's a toss up to me whom will win

From what i saw against the scrimmage from smyrna was that they're running back is super physical, hard runner. But their line is weak. Obviously alot has changed since then but thats what i know

Sloppy game by both teams but two very tough teams that will go far in the postseason

UGLY!!! That is best way to describe this one. We killed ourselves. It seemed like every time that we would get momentum we would get a penalty or worse a turnover. In a way it's good this happened. Now we have that taste in our mouths and shouldn't like it. Hats off to the defense for fighting to the end. Got put in some bad situations and played pretty darn good. Congrats to Independence for making the plays and coming out with the win. Back to the practice field. Go Dawgs!!!
