Throwbacks Baseball Club Tryout Information

Recommended Posts

Throwbacks Baseball Club has announced their tryout dates for the summer roster for 2022. The club is also excited to announce their expansion for this upcoming summer. TBC will expand the program to have an "Upperclass" (17/18 or '23/'22) and an "Underclass" (15/16 or '25/'24). The 'Backs are the fastest growing summer baseball program in Middle TN, and plan to continue to build off the past success. Established in 2019, TBC already has 25+ college commitments from JUCO-D1. This past summer, the club posted a 26-8 record while also winning 3 championships. In addition to success and mentorship from experienced coaches, this program is also known for being the most financially affordable summer ball experience in the area. Below is our tryout information. We hope to see you there!

    • I coach 3 sports in HS and can tell you that basketball is NOT the most time consuming. I'm not saying it doesn't take a lot of time but between basketball, baseball and football it isn't the most time consuming.
    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
