Father Ryan vs. Oakland

Father Ryan plays Oakland tonight at Lebanon at 5:30. Any thoughts or predictions?

I expect a very close, well played game. Oakland has defeated four good teams in their last four games (Warren CO, Blackman, Riverdale, Bradley Central) and they are playing very well as a team right now. They will be hard to beat.

Oakland defeats Father Ryan on a three-pointer by Joe Barker at the buzzer. Final score was 68-66. Oakland was lead by Joe Barker with 19, Derrick Duggin with 14 and Matt Joines with 9. Father Ryan played a very aggressive defense and tried to exploit Oakland's weakness at the point (point guard Nick Watson is out till 1/17). There could be a rematch at the Father Ryan Christmas Tournement next week.

What are you talking about???? The point guard for Oakland Ro Murray is better and is the baddest thang on the team. If you seen the game he held his own and did some things that the other point guard didn't. Watch Ro games and see what I'm talking about. He's a good scorer, defender (even though he plays straight-leg), and passer. What more can you ask for.

I agree with everything you said about Ro. But he thinks like a 2 guard and not like a point guard. When Nick Watson returns Ro's game will elevate because he can concentrate on penetrating and scoring.
