It looks like the front runners in 3-AAA doesn't want to put the District away as they fall to Central tonight 14-7. The home game for Central was even being played at Karns.

Karns jumped out to a 3-0 lead against lefty Cody Swaggerty, but Central came roaring back against Senior Brad Nix to tie the game 3-3 on Mark Swaggerty's 1st pitch 3 RBI homerun. That would be as close as Karns would ever be as Central would score 5 more runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning and chase Nix with two outs and runners on 1st and 3rd for Mark Swaggerty again. All Mark Swaggerty did was hit another 1st pitch 3 RBI homerun against reliever Steven Bain and Central led 8-3 after two innings.

Central would add 4 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning highlighted by a 2 RBI single by none other that Mark Swaggerty, he would end the night 3 for 4 with 2 homeruns and a single good for 8 RBI's. Henderson and Bowman also homered for Central.

Karns had 7 runs (9 left on base) on 6 hits and 2 errors, Central had 14 runs(2 left on base) on 14 hits and two errors. Central's Cody Swaggerty got the win throwing 5 2/3 innings and Zac Bowman came in and threw the final 1 1/3 inning and got Cody out of a two out bases loaded jam in the 6th inning.

Hat's off to Mark Swaggerty on his fine night.

Karns is now in a tie for the 3-AAA lead with Clinton coming to Karns Monday for an important District ending game.
