Knox area summer ball

I'd like to hear how everyone's summer ball is going.

 

Knoxville Yard Dog 17s played the Chattanooga Colonels in a double-header 5/30. Dogs won 12-0 and 9-7. The Colonels were not at full strength, but the Dogs played pretty well, considering it was the first time on the diamond for many of the players in a couple of weeks. The Dogs are going to have a lot of team speed from what I saw Friday. Dog's pitching was solid, particularly in the first game.

 

I saw a bit of Bearden-Catholic the other night. Taylor Leija pitched well.

Game 1 -

Phillip Tucker (William Blount)

D.T. McDermott (Atlanta Tucker)

Tanner Hiles (Knox West)

 

Game 2 -

Brad Carr (South Doyle)

Adam Snyder (Knox West)

Robert Gilmore (Rockwood)

 

4 runs scored while Carr was on the mound. I'm not sure all were earned.

3 runs scored while Snyder pitched. However all three runs were unearned.

That Colonels team was very strong last year. Any idea if the team stayed the same?
