The Tulllahoma Cross Country team came in first today in the championship division of the Sharp Springs Invitational today in Smyrna. They had a low team total of 53 points. The team, coached by slavemaster David Muckle has participated in 8 meets this season, with 7 first place finishes and 1 third. They are the defending Mid State and Region champions. They won the prestigious A.F. Bridges meet a week ago at the Steeplechase in Nashville against 51 other teams from across the state. Their next meet will be at the Burnette Memorial next Sat, Oct 11th in Cookeville. Good job Cats.

Tullahoma's success has been well documented, I wouldn't question them. Recent steeple times - Thomas (15:56), Welsh (16:22), Bean (16:44), Chappell (16:47), Suits (17:16). And that's just who I know of. They are probably the best AAA boys team to come out of the midstate in quite some time. They are basically a lock to be top five in the state meet.
