Morgan County Tournament

I was just wondering if Coalfield was still having their Christmas tournament this year. I seen their schedule and it wasn't on there, so I was just curious!

The tournament has been cancelled, which is a pity from my point of view. I've really enjoyed watching some good basketball games over Christmas break and I think the tournament will be missed by many.

I'm not sure WHY the tournament was called off, though I've heard several rumours/reasons, such as 1) a change in athletic directors, 2) some members of the coaching staffs' desire to NOT play over the Christmas break, and 3) some type of problem with scheduling too many total season games according to the TSSAA maximum.

I really have NO idea what the true reason is, so let me repeat that these are just reasons I have heard from people in the school and the community. None of them may be the true reason, or it may be that any combination of the three may be true. Maybe DALEFAN or CYJACKET or ROCHELLE can shed some light on this matter?

I just heard it was cancelled day before yesterday. Let me take this opportunity to inform the School staff the Youth club would like to schedule a Christmas Tournament in December. We're broke.

It is a pity. That was the only time some people could come watch them play! I was really looking forward to it, but maybe somehow I can catch some regular season games on my christmas break. Thanks!
