goinggoinggone, i was on that same team, that's all I'll say...It hurt losing, but that don't matter anymore..I knew that eventually Carmen would get a team there. I wish it would've been us, but I'm glad it's the group she has now..Great girls- those girls never give up, and they play 100% the whole time. Peabody may be a good team and I don't doubt that at all.. But Carmen will have those girls ready to play, and they will have the desire to go out there and play 100% like they always do and they will not give up until it is over. Carmen expects that from them and as a former player of hers, I know for a fact that they don't want to let her down, I know I didn't.. I'm so proud of those girls and Carmen. They all diserve it..Casey was with us on that team, and so was a few of the others but they were 8th graders..I'm so glad they made it this far, they've earned it..The least people can do is give them the respect they diserve!! I changed my schedule to make the game so I'll be there cheering them on! Once you've been a part of that team, you can't seem to get away from it!! Be careful everybody and enjoy the game!!

just keep overlooking coalfield, and they will keep winning.. to coalfield, u know what to do, let them talk... u know, they said the titanic couldn't sink...guess what..it sunk... Good luck Coalfield, from someone that use to play but didn't make it that far, almost, but not hardly...you all diserve it... thumb

I have to say this because of that saying 'it's hard to beat a team 3 times', well it can be done...Coalfield has done it before when they won the tourney in 2002 and I have no doubt in my mind that they can do it again. Carmen has a way of putting a fire in her players....good luck lady jackets!

I just wanted to say congrat's to the Lady Jackets for making it to the championship game. Ladies, it is the most fun game you will ever play and no matter what you will always remember it. It is more fun when you come out the champion, we did it my senior year and you can do it again this year. Play with your hearts and play to the best of your ability and you will walk away champions. That is something nobody can take away from you!! I know Carmen will push you, but you have to push yourself and each other!!! Make me proud ladies! Casey girl, bust your butt like I know you have been doing all season. Just because I'm not there, does not mean I don't keep up w/ you girl! You can have 2, where I only had one.... U gotta want it!! Play hard ladies, I believe in you... and U WILL SURVIVE!!!

I'm not from that area, but I know someone that was in that same situation.. Let her decide where she goes.. If she would be happier and has better chances of getting noticed at the other school, let her go... Some schools have situations that should be left.. It basically comes down to what she wants and where she will be happiest and get noticed.

dirtydiamondplayer, I haven't got to see or talk to you in what seems like forever.. I'm not going to tell u who I am, but U know me!! me and my dad came and watched you play a game!! (hint hint) I hope all is well with you.. U know Carmen will have our girls ready by tournament time.. she just has to get all the glitches out of em first!!! It is a pity. That was the only time some people could come watch them play! I was really looking forward to it, but maybe somehow I can catch some regular season games on my christmas break. Thanks!

I was just wondering if Coalfield was still having their Christmas tournament this year. I seen their schedule and it wasn't on there, so I was just curious!

I wouldn't underestimate Sunbright or Coalfield. Sunbright girls are being coached hard and are playing hard for Coach Napier. I think they will do well. Also, the same goes for Coalfield. I know a lot is thought of about Wartburg. There always has been and there always will be. NOTHING agains wartburg girls or anybody for that matter.. They may be good, but all I am saying is that I wouldn't underestimate any of the other teams in the District. Wartburg does have an outstanding coach....However, Fred, Carmen, and Mike are also good coaches!
