Coach Thompson,

 

Thank you for all you did this season. You are a heck of a person, and a great coach. I know there are rumors about you retiring, but know this...we all want you back on the sidelines in "The Pit" next season. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication you showed those kids this year. Thanks to your entire staff as well. Congratulations on reaching 200 wins this season, a region championship, an undefeated regular season, and reaching the quarter-finals. What a season it was, too bad it ended when it did, but you are a champion in all our eyes. Thanks again!!!

One word describes Coach Thompson - CLASS. At the end of the game, not the line up and shake hands standard protocol, but way after the game was over, I heard he walked up to all of Riverdale's coaches outside the dressing room, congratulated them, and wished them good fortune. Takes a big man to do that especially after a grueling game. They don't make em any better than Coach Thompson.
