Do you think AAU is really that important?

My son has played on an AAU team for three years, and his level of play is increasing over his school peers each year. It helps anyone to continue to play thier prospective sports while others are not. Serious players are playing in the spring and summer, while others do nothing, or play another sport. Like Coach V always says, "PT Baby".

I would guess 90% of today's college and pro players did AAU. If your team is fortunate to make the nationals the exposure is super(college recruiters)You can't go to a high school game and find over one hundred scouts and the skill level is greater than school ball because most teams are like allstar squads which increases the level of play.Teams must have 2 coaches and can have as many as four coaches on the bench.
