Obviously Derek Walker, like the rest of these young, is an outstanding wrestler.

 

Because my interests (my sons) are in the DI lower mid level weight classes, I am not familiar with Derek’s accomplishments. I mean no disrespect to him by asking this, but what did it take to be recognized as the #13 junior wrestler in his weight class? Was it an outstanding high school record, successful off-season tournaments, defeating a nationally known wrestler, or some other accomplishments?

 

Again, let me emphasis, I am in no way challenging Derek’s ranking or accomplishments. In fact, I'm glad Tennessee has young men like Derek that are doing so well in the sport.

As I understand it, Hobbs no longer attends McCallie.

How can you post that without details? We have to wrestle those guys in January and you're killing me with that post. Ok, why has Hobbs left?

I made the post as i saw the names in the magazine. Of course some of these guys will not be at this weight, or have left their school or in some cases may not even compete this year. I just wanted to post the names under each rankings for the state.
