were the i.d.'s anything major?

looks like three mustang starters were missing, care to comment?

i see c.g. is still striking fear into the hearts of the left side, getting another quick 6! ;)

Bolton threw an illegal move on Schmidt, Schmidt couldn't finish, default Bolton.  Germany appeared to injure knee, not sure how bad.  Other mustang wrestlers not in the game, not sure the whole story

Should have expected that out of Bolton, he has always had a tendency to be uncontrolable / reckless in his matches. Hopefully Germany is ok. I am assuming Schmidt is fine since you didn't mention otherwise.

It was actually Schmidt that was doing the head slapping. It was a judgemental call on the part of the ref. Looked like a hard wizzer from the standing position where Bolton drove Schmidt to the mat face first.

not your usual kind of comment g-man. i know he's a "rough" kid.... B)

Was that to harsh for you jim  ? In all honesty I like the intensity with which the kid wrestles (wish I could get a few more of mine at both the HS and MS level to do that) but he has just never been very smart in the way he administers it. He does a lot of things like illegal holds just out of his shear aggression and I was just surprised that I didn't think of it earlier when looking at that comment on injury default. No doubt he is an athlete but he has to start listening to Andy a little more and get it under control and he could turn into a dominant wrestler...

The two incidents are unrelated.

Forcefull drill to the mat is illegal.

It was our trainer's call on whether or not he could continue. He should be ok, but we'll see in practice today.

I spoke with Mr. Germany and he said that Matt may have come back too soon from a prior knee injury. Hopefully he can get it properly rested for the end of the season.

Jose,

Be sure to let us know how Schmidt comes out if you would.

I really hate to hear that about Germany, he is a good kid and a good wrestler. Hopefully he will be healthy by time for regional duals, etc. but if not he shoudl rest his knee and get it healed right since I do believe he has another year.

who was winning the bolton match at the time of the injury

825507956[/snapback]

it's a moot point, so please don't imply since he might have been losing that mustang 45 ryan didn't get up. if saint 45 jb does something stupid, i.e. illegal move, then he has to understand that it can have team implications, as it did in this match. :)
