  1. just a few haha's boys. you know i never learned that if you poke the bull, you get the horn. heck, i've been tugging on supermans cape and spitting into the wind for years. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  2. i'm sorry, this thread did say west tn. i just assumed we were talking about d1, not the jv league. hahahahahaha
  3. suckup. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. yea, gonna roll in and find the pope. i'm sure he's not missing this one. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> i just love his incite but especially get a kick out of the coaches coming by to kiss the ring prior to the matches. priceless! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  5. the side of the district without the devils, dragons and ponies is always weaker. they pull a "blind hog" routine once in a while and sneak into the big dance but year in and year out, they're not as good. headed out to the ranch for the festivities tonight, looking forward to a classic. planning on being at hades for a minute or two this weekend for the duals. can't stay long with my beloved b-ball wildcats and tigers on the tube midday. might return for the finals, depending on what the boss says. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. oooooooooooo, shot! i see this and am laughing out load. if memory serves me, and i know that's a stretch, lil' walt beat lil' bro in the duals when they were freshees and at ryan as a senior. i don't know how many times they threw down but lil' bro won everything in between. and there were some wars.
  7. concerning number 3, you teach high school so i guess you don't need to hear it after hours too. and besides, if you think it's bad for you, what do you think the leader o' the dark side at the mustang ranch hears? though, if truth be known, he probably gives as good as he gets. concerning number 5, i thought you beared a striking resemblance to the dude on the usa network show, monk. my parting shot for the season. here's where i insert that peace out thing you guys do............
  8. huh, almost the same as d1, should've done better here..........
  9. yes, you are a god, bow down the all knowing and powerful one.........
  10. oh, how observant you are g-dog. i went the year after my young one went through only to see "the other son" go for the gold, coming up one match short. would like to be there but my better half requires i obtain continued funding for the lifestyle i like to lead so maybe another year. i'm sure i'll be getting updates from the young one, mustang brandon's dad, the columbian wrestling guru, or my red devil posse. go left side, one and two!
  11. 35 was a five seed and beat the 4, 1 and 2 to be the champion. mustang brandon could have won if he was handicapped giving the other guys a 14-0 head start in that weight class. realistically, he could have won region at 71 or 89 also. plus, he was the wrestler o' the year over cardinal demetrius.
  12. hey, mustang brandons opponent wore tights. i did notice the leg was dislocated but a full severance from the body was hampered by the extra nylon. where is everyones opinion about the tourney???????? ok, agreed with wolves craig as ow but wouldn't have been surprised with mustang ryan, who rolled through 52. thought the semi matches were more exciting than the finals. the dragon fell short needing just one match between 71 thru 15, couldn't get it done. wouldn't have thought that would have happened. btw, love the new technology of camera/video cell phones. they allow you to catch parental units in the stands cheering on their sons with, "in your face germantown". wow, you think "way to go son", "congratulations on a great match", "i'm proud of you", "great job", polite clapping or just saying yea, has been replaced with "in your face". what do you think, anyone for a pic?
  13. wow, great answer, worthy of me!
  14. ok, i've had my morning diet coke, (don't do coffee). a little harsh on the start of the explanation to the panther parent. looking forward to this p.m., some good matchups in the lower weight classes. good luck to the boys from the ranch, as well as the little devils from hades. (gotta run with my posse).
  15. they're from classic movies and tv series. another favorite from Norm Peterson: What's new Normie? Terrorists, Sam. They've taken over my stomach & they're demanding beer. back to the topic, watch for the weight classes i suggested would be wrong to be just that.
  16. aha, the all knowing and powerful wizard from the left side has returned!
  17. nope, i enjoy it. only looking at them one more time this year, tomorrow, until next season. btw, dude, where's the love for my famous people quotes. I love it when a plan comes together! Hannibal Smith - 1983
  18. ok but four returning medalists and two were from other weight classes. why not at least a four? it's not like he was a medalist one year and got his butt kicked in his region before going back to state the next. (see d1 seeding process)
  19. this ones for the head lifeguard at the wave pool, why didn't brother jp get a seed at 12? one of four returning medalist so..........

  21. i hear the condesceding air of this post so here you go. a has wins over b and c, but has lost to d. b has beaten c and has two bad beats over d. c and d have split. realistically, d has no shot at the one seed so you let him fall to four to get the semi against someone they have beaten. pushing for the three seed puts them against a wrestler who they have lost to badly twice, not a good thing. this is really more of a reality in seeds below four. lets take 60 this year for instance. no one has a chance against mustang brandon but it opens up from there. to avoid that match until the final, you have to be a 2 or 3 seed or fall all the way to 6. so, if you can't justify the 2 or 3, even though you might have a win or split with them, let your wrestler fall to the six spot. in an eight man, they open with a weak three then in the semi against a two. with the last scenario, i have seen that personally played out in a tourney.
  22. its all about the matchups.
  23. ok, here's the first grenade for everyone, did any coach let his wrestler maybe drop in seeding or not seed them so to have a possible matchup advantage later?
  24. jmo, not disrepecting panther zach, but depending on the depth of the bracket and number of matches, he might get pushed if he has to wrestle the full six a few times the same day. btw, your beverage of choice would have been available at the concession stand last weekend. all you had to have was a little faith.
