Richard Hardy, what a name. Who was Richard Hardy?

Richard Hardy was a guy who ran a cement company here in south pittsburg. he built houses for his workers near the site. they also bulit a school that was called dixie portland independent school. After his death they renamed it Richard Hardy Memorial School. The high school was only added on in '97 and we are in the process of building a new gym and adding on.
