THIS IS THE FIFTH POLL OF THE SEASON. 

Now in its 32nd year, The Poll is primarily a measure of dual meet strength with some consideration to individual tournament strength.   Votes are cast by a state-wide panel of high school wrestling coaches and are based on a maximum Power Ranking of 132.

Ravenwood beat Brentwood 42-30 on 1/15/26.

Brentwood Academy beat MBA 38-36 on 1/13/26.

So....Ravenwood beat Brentwood, and Brentwood beat MBA.

Yet MBA ranked ahead of both?

Should it not be Ravenwood replacing MBA at 11? Just curious. Why the DII mystique?

Keep in mind that MBA beat Ravenwood 45-27 at the CBHS Duals last weekend.

Just based on those results, one could argue Summit over Ravenwood based on common team Cabot (AR) but very few talking about Summit.

Dual are a funny thing with match-ups and health playing a huge role. One kid out can swing it greatly, let alone duals that can be decided on coin flip and who shows where. Lots of teams with less than ideal line-ups in the last week or two with sicknesses running through, etc. Makes team depth even more important. Let along one big upset flipping a result or tightening a dual. Part of what makes duals so fun (and stressful for coaches).
