Boys & Girls 2009 Region Tournament Bracketology Contest

As promised, the bracketology competition has begun:

 

Bracketology competition directions (please read carefully before beginning):

1. Go to jim314.com and download the bracketology.xls file to your computer (you must have some version of Excel to participate)

2. Open the bracketology.xls file and click on a yellow cell (a down arrow will appear to the right of the cell)

3. Click on the down arrow and choose who you think will win that game (do this for all regions in a classification)

4. Continue steps 2-3 until all of the yellow cells in a classification have team names and not "Winner #" in them

5. Save bracketology.xls and email it and your CoachT username to [email protected] (you must have a CoachT username to participate)

NOTE: Submissions must be received by 7 PM EST on Friday, February 27 (no exceptions) and you should feel free to participate in as many of the divisions (boys/girls) as you wish

6. Check back at jim314.com each day to see who is leading the pack for each boys and girls classification

A few exceptions:

1. Due to the late nature of the 14AAA boys tournament, the 7AAA boys region will not be counted in the overall results

2. I am aware that the region 7A, region 7AA, and region 7AAA girls tournament starts on Thursday night (meaning you should probably wait until you see who won those games before submitting your bracket!)

      Keep an eye on Cherokee high this year.  Their freshmen and sophomores are loaded with Rogersville kids.  I look for them to be threat in 3a right out of the gate

      Based on common opponent and eye test, I think Volunteer and Cherokee are pretty comparable in Hawkins county. That rivalry game may actually be a good game to watch this year. But as far as this week, Betsy should come away with another victory. That should secure 1st or 2nd in the conference with Greeneville. Cherokee and volunteer have made huge strides but the Greene Devils and Cyclones are still the undisputed 1 and 2.

      That toilet reminds me the first American Pie movie. Stifler put laxative in Paul Finch’s coffee, tricked him into going to girls bathroom and Finch tried to make a birds nest on the seat lol.   It seems likely that the wine and cheese fans are going to have a tough night in Blount County. Nothing personal against Farragut, but they aren’t very good. Special Teams kept them in the game against Powell, plus Deuce being out helped their cause too.

      Yep that sounds good!  Looks like if Hdon finished 2nd in region that could be a possible 2nd round game
