June 7, 201016 yr comment_2468534 Congrats to Fury 95 for punching their ticket to Illinois by winning 5 straight games Sunday. Nice job girls. Two berths left who will get them, this board is very silent in 14U at the moment. Report
June 7, 201016 yr comment_2468541 The last two berths should be very interesting. IMO there isn't a lot of difference in the next 6 or 7 14U teams (Worth 95, Diamonds, Illusion, Explosion, Firebirds, Valley Thunder, Silver Eagles in no particular order). I have seen all of them play really well, and I have seen them all play pretty poorly. Report

June 7, 201016 yr Author comment_2468566 Rain delays brought about what appeared to be "HOME COOKING" for Fury 95 ALL DAY LONG! That is funny. I happend to be there watching. It started raining when Illusion was in the field and when they changed pitchers she threw several wild pitches that they wanted to blame on rain. That was after changing out ball several times and coaches walking towels to the mound. It certainly was not a wet ball issue. I can speak from experience had this happened in Hendersonville you could not even change out the ball and i think the Illusions can vouch for that. Illusions played great game and have a great team but the weather did not beat them as they were proclaiming as they left. I hope Illusions get their berth because i think they will represent Tennessee very well in Illinois. Good luck. Report
June 7, 201016 yr comment_2468574 I don't know about the Illusions game but the same thing happened with the Xplosion/Fury 95 game. Rain ...Xplosion on defense and the umpires never suspended play until it was time for Fury 95 to take the field and the umpires waited for the rain to stop then allowed Fury 95 to take the field. Now.....that's Home Cooking if you ask me! Actually, I heard during the Illusions/Fury 95 game the parks people asked the umpires to suspend play until the rain stopped and they continued to play. I guess this happened when the Illusions was on defense as well. Regardless, I heard all 3 teams played great! Looking forward to the next Qualifier. Report
June 7, 201016 yr comment_2468585 If the rain and the umpires caused you to lose the Championship game (6-1), what happened in the " if " game?(9-0) Report

The head of the umps came up and told them if it continued to rain for another five minutes they would probably stop the game. Weather was never a factor and not at all in championship game. Xplosion imploded throwing the ball all over the park fielding bunts late in the game. Tad is the most hated coach in softball, well with maybe the exception of me, LOL so i can assure you there is no home cooking going on for him. I'm sure he gets better calls when he is out of town and no one knows him. Report
June 8, 201016 yr comment_2468648 I know I hate Tad and he is a friend of mine ! hahahahahaha! Congrats 95's Report
