It's going to be a mess and it will continue. The schools that will suffer will likely be the 1/2A schools and/or schools that live in rural areas (I know it's crazy to say because Martin is rural).
I think the state of Tennessee should've hired someone that is there for the transferring process and that's pretty much it. All we're going to have is pretty much All-Star teams throughout the state, because all athletes want to do is ring chase if they can.
Should've had a capped number per school/class, academic requirements/restrictions for the athlete.
The last thing we need is a player that doesn't care about his/her academics, have a 2.0-2.5 GPA, and transfers from one school to another and win a state championship.
The last thing we need is coach to dedicate 2+ years of his/her life to develop an athlete, just for that player to transfer to a rival school. I'm all for transferring, but I know no one is going to transfer to Lake County, Stewart County, Middleton. Areas that are flat out rural.
